<strong>What’s On Your Plate? </strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Manage and develop 3-5 designers</li><li>Owning design strategy and management of a large chunk of our user journey (design practice for 4-5 squads)</li><li>Manage design bandwidths and be the hiring manager for your team</li><li>Work with product leads to articulate the vision and evolution of the product/discipline area for quarters ahead</li><li>Seen as the go-to expert over multiple squads, is able to effectively utilize product functionality to drive big company objectives</li><li>Drive experience first problem-solving practices within the product squads</li><li>Ensure pixel-perfect design quality and design system alignment with the designers on your team</li><li>Having an impact through people by developing great relationships with designers, helping and challenging them to succeed</li><li>Provide clear feedback and coaching to designers</li><li>Ensure designers have clear goals that support them in delivering impactful work</li><li>Understand and support our journey toward becoming a world-class design team</li><li>Think in terms of scalable systems, not just one-off solutions</li><li>Meet the bar for delivery of design work within your design team</li><li>Connect with the craft of design, especially high-quality, modern design/research</li><li>Give useful design feedback in a clear, respectful way</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>What Did We Order?</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>6+ years of experience in digital product design, with 3+ years of people leadership experience managing product designers</li><li>Experience with building, hiring, and mentoring high-performing teams</li><li>Have a transparent, candid, and constructive approach to feedback with a keen ability to identify areas of opportunity and improvement</li><li>Track record of delivering business impact, and can speak to design decisions that drive meaningful product value</li><li>Strong understanding of how engineering, analytics, and user research intersect with design</li><li>A portfolio of relevant design work, performed by you and the teams you’ve led, that demonstrates your ability to create products that people love</li></ul>
