Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to lead the development of our core technologies that function within a broad smart city environment. You will serve a central role in building and refining our computer vision and machine learning algorithms focused on detecting and tracking within both rural and urban environments. The role entails:
- Lead a team of computer vision engineers in exploring and developing the next generation of smart cities enabled ML methodologies and models
- Act as a subject matter expert in Computer Vision and design of new imaging systems and capabilities within the smart cities team
- Build end-to-end image analysis systems that acquire, process, transform, and extract information from a variety of data streams, including dashcam footage, drones, CCTV and mobile mapping data
- Work on all stages of model development life cycle from defining data requirements, metrics, and labeling needs to deploying high-performing and scalable final models as part of the product
- Stay current on the latest ML/CV research by reviewing papers and implementing state-of-the-art concepts
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of industry experience in Computer Vision
- Expertise in 2D/3D object detection and tracking, image sequence/visual/LIDAR-based tracking, and multi-object tracking, localization and computational geometry
- Experience with working with various imaging modalities, including dashcam, panoramic images and lidar
- Experience in object detection/segmentation/tracking in LiDAR, Vision, and LiDAR-Camera sensor fusion techniques
- 3+ years’ experience coding Computer Vision models in Python that live in production systems
- Proficiency with location, mapping, and geospatial data is preferred
- Familiarity with frameworks like Pytorch, QGIS, git, and AWS/GCP
