Job Description
The ideal candidate will be able to perform accounting tasks independently and timely manner. This will be done by having clear understanding the importance and prioritization of tasks, keeping in mind the agreed deliverables and developing an appropriate level of communication with clients, internal team members and management to achieve desired level of productivity and timely resolution of any issues.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day Accounting operations;
- Reconciliation of Clients, Insurance Companies, Bank, Petty Cash & Inter-branch Accounts;
- Follow up for Account receivables and send weekly Client OSA for pending invoices;
- Process Journal Entries for monthly accruals and depreciation;
- Accurately prepare Trail Balance, Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss statement, and other regulatory and management reports;
- Liaise with external Auditors till the finalization of Annual Financial Accounts;
- Provide timely and accurate vendor payments through checks and bank transfer;
- Proper knowledge of UAE VAT & Labour laws;
- Timely manage quarterly VAT filing and payment on the FTA portal;
- HR related matters [Preparation of employees files, process monthly payroll (WPS) and leaves record, etc.];
- Handling of basic Admin tasks and budget preparations, as required by the Management;
- Create and maintain relationships with clients and insurance companies;
- Coordinate with internal team members to understand business needs and its impact on Accounting Dept.
Qualifications
- Previous account management experience, ideally in a Insurance brokerage house in UAE;
- Having Master degree in Accounts, preferably ACCA or equivalent;
- Direct reporting to senior management i.e. GM or CEO;
