Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Document Controller to join our team!
Responsibilities
- Under minimal supervision from the document control manager; performs a variety of document control functions for the PMO and the projects levels.
- Having good knowledge of both the work processes of document control and the use of electronic documents systems on both the PMO level as well as the projects level.
- Contributes to developing the document control manual with all procedures, processes, and protocols.
- Efficiently Processes all document types through work processes in accordance with well-defined document control procedures and guidelines.
- Ensures that the pre-determined document control requirements (e.g., which document numbering system will be used; how many and which signatures will be required for certain approvals, etc.) are satisfactorily met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Receives, tracks, and monitors documents using standard document management systems to register documents, maintain databases, and produces logs, transmittals, and other reports as required.
- Produces reports using the standard office automation or department specific computer applications. Initiates and processes all business-related documents following the instructions.
- Arranges document cataloging, packing, and long-term storage, or disposal of appropriate documents at the project closeout. Provides assistance with document retrieval process.
- Provides a good communication service to deal with multinational coworkers and to reply to the routinely business emails related to area of responsibility.
- Keeps abreast of the document control department technologies, techniques, and services relevant to area of responsibility.
- Contributes as a team player who is deadline driven and works well with other staff members as needed to develop and improve services.
- Provides assistance to documents management system users in capturing and locating electronic information.
- Assists junior document control staff to ensure effective implementation of project-specific procedures.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or any relevant discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in similar projects.
- Previous Experience as a PMO member is preferable.
- Proficiency in Oracle Aconex is a must and knowledge of other document management systems is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Good written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project personnel.
- English is mandatory, knowledge of Arabic will be an advantage
