Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Engineer/Technician to join our flexible packaging plastic factory. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing tests and inspections on finished products to ensure they meet our high-quality standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct tests and inspections on finished products to verify adherence to established quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Operate and maintain testing equipment, such as tensile testers, colorimeters, and micrometers, to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Interpret test results and document findings in a clear, concise manner, including reporting any non-conformities or deviations from specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) team and production staff to identify root causes of quality issues and develop corrective action plans.
  • Monitor production processes and provide feedback to the production team to ensure continuous improvement in product quality and efficiency.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of quality control procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
  • Assist in the investigation of customer complaints and product returns to identify and address quality issues.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the quality management system, ensuring compliance with industry standards, such as ISO 9001, and other relevant regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Continuously update technical knowledge and stay current with industry developments and best practices in flexible packaging plastic manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Material Science, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quality control or a related role, preferably in the flexible packaging plastic manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methods, and best practices, as well as industry standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using various testing equipment, tools, and software for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001, and continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma, is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
