This position supports the Ankura Disputes & Economics practice – one of seven practices focused on client delivery services across the Firm.
This Director position supports Ankura’s EMEA Disputes & Economics practice (D&E) which has the ambition to be the clear market leader in its field. Our Disputes & Economics practice focuses on assisting clients with financial, accounting, and economic issues associated with complex fraud, litigation, and International Arbitration. A sample of diverse consulting engagements include consulting and preparation of expert report and testimony in local court and international arbitration, consulting on complex forensic accounting and financial reporting matters and opining on quantum, valuation, and loss of profits. Our professionals are trusted advisors who work collaboratively and in a very measured and expedient way to maximise value for our clients. Responsibilities
- Managing all aspects of forensic accounting engagements primarily involving damages assessments, valuations, and financial investigations.
- Preparing and reviewing detailed financial models in Microsoft Excel, including analysing profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts in order to prepare a DCF analysis.
- Writing reports and other deliverables for review by Managing and Senior Managing Directors.
- Managing client expectations and job administration.
- Actively pursuing business development opportunities.
- Developing an external network of clients and business contacts.
Requirements
- Be either an experienced chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) or CFA charter holder with first time passes.
- Having broad forensic accountancy experience across disputes and investigations within a recognised global practice. Ideally including experience in the Middle East.
- Graduate level qualification obtained from a leading university.
- Very strong analytical and financial modelling skills with a flexible approach to problem solving.
- Demonstrate strong report writing and oral communication skills.
- Experience across a number of industries.
- Be willing to market to new and existing clients.
- Have experience in managing and mentoring junior team members.
- Due to the international nature of our work, in addition to English, must be fluent in Arabic.
