The opportunity

This is an opportunity to be involved in the delivery of major sports stadia and associated projects in Saudi Arabia.

Project: Mace is currently bidding for this programme which will require high-calibre and experienced people to lead teams throughout each phase of the project.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Examining the design consultants to maximise quality and value while minimising the risk profile for the project.β€―
  • Managing third-party and client technical and constructability reviews of deliverables.β€―
  • Managing designer procurement, contracts and performance.
  • Engaging the technical resources required to challenge the designers to obtain the most beneficial balance of quality, value, and risk for overall.
  • Providing regular progress reports on all of the above to the project manager.
  • Checking of all construction issue information.
  • Monitoring the drawing production progress.
  • Managing the information flow.
  • Managing the incorporation of any comments.
  • Checking the drawings and confirming approvals for the issue.
  • Liaising with document controller for publication and down-loading of drawings.
  • Ensuring the correct drawing procedure.
  • Providing reports on planning and process.
  • Ensuring correct specification as advised.
  • Liaising with the planning manager.
  • Providing input into O&M manuals.
  • Assisting in the provision of an effective and efficient, high quality engineering design.
  • Managing and assisting in the management of the project involving the construction of special-to-type equipment.
  • Ensuring that all information relating to projects and assets is accurately recorded and stored appropriately.
  • Drafting of procurement/technical submission programme.

About You

You have relevant degree qualifications, and be a member of a professional body. You have the ability to work as part of a wider team managing design across multiple assets in a very demanding timeline. You have an understanding of RIBA requirements, experience procuring consultants, managing consultant performance, driving value through VE and optimisation all be beneficial.

You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships, and support strong, motivated teams. You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy Mace’s opportunities.
