Job Description

KU is seeking a highly motivated Post-doctoral Fellow to work on the development of conducting machine learning models and techniques for waste heat recovery and CO2 capture systems. The candidate will develop models and design technologies for waste heat recovery systems like the Organic Rankine cycle (ORC), Kalina cycle, Sterling engine, Absorption cycle, and Carbon Capture Systems (CCS) integrated systems including high-grade, mid-grade, and low-grade waste heat from heavy industries like aluminum and steel industries. The candidate also needs to work on existing potential technologies and implement machine-learning ideas for automation and performance enhancement. The core part of the position is to work with Ph.D. and MSc. students and a researcher having core industrial and modeling expertise.

As part of the project, the researcher will have access to state-of-the-art research equipment and facilities at the Virtual Research Institute (VRI) and will get an opportunity to work alongside researchers and graduate students from various backgrounds as part of a wider team.
