Our Mechanical Handling Services (MHS) division offers specialist capabilities in cranes and lifting operations, maintenance & inspections and hydraulic or fluid power engineering solutions. We are looking for Crane Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Doha, Qatar.
The role
In this role you will repair and maintain platform pedestal cranes to ensure they are safe and fit for purpose. In the absence of other information or instructions, the manufacturer’s specifications and standards for each individual model of crane will be applied. Whilst maintaining and/or repairing the cranes the Crane Maintenance Supervisor shall provide guidance for the Technicians and make certain that their team adhere to the procedures and guidelines as detailed within the work packs supplied for offshore task. All the necessary permit restrictions that apply within the area authority limit shall always be maintained and monitored by the Crane Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications, Experience And Skills
A time served mechanical technician with supervisory experience and a recognized apprenticeship/equivalent. Holding substantial experience of maintaining cranes offshore you will also have knowledge of Lifting Operations Lifting Equipment Regulations and all legislation concerning lifting operations and be competent in using both fixed and portable lifting equipment in a safe manner. Ideally you will have where possible a manufactures training program in the maintenance of platform specific offshore pedestal cranes.
