This job posting is in Jamaica, candidate will be trained in Dubai and relocated after 1 month.

Role & Remuneration

–      Accounts Payable Supervisor

–      Based in Montego Bay, Jamaica

–      Net starting salary AED 4,500

–      Boarding & lodging provided

–      2 year contract with return ticket

 

Accounting Responsibilities

 

–      Entering the monthly expenses on a daily basis with bifurcation

–      Reconciling debit entries on multiple bank statements daily

–      Checking bank and online accounts for payments and confirming

–      Entering the online and physical credit card sales & reconciling

–      Writing cheques & reconciling

–      Doing bank deposits

–      Handling petty cash payments and reconcile

–      Preparing and executing fortnightly payroll

–      Preparing payroll for all services providers

–      Preparing weekly payables reports and posting to online account

–      Liaising with the company auditors to complete monthly reports

–      Handling cash and credit card sales

–      Issuing payments to all utility companies and inscribing to online sheets

–      Keeping track of the back-office inventory and placing orders

–      Assisting with import entries

–      Reconciling credit card statements and payments

–      Undertaking any document preparation as required

–      Preparing Owner’s Statements on a monthly basis, sending out and settling balances

–      Reconciling payments to platforms such as Booking.com and settling / raising disputes where necessary 

–      Filing monthly VAT & Statutory tax deductions and paying same

 

Finance Responsibilities

–      Advise in advance the movement of funds between countries and accounts to cover all liabilities

–      Forecast financial requirements on a weekly basis to ensure all liabilities are settled

Preferred Profile & Skillset

–      Strong written and spoken English

–      Minimum 2 years work experience in accounting

–      Bachelor’s degree

–      Worked in hospitality industry – hotel or travel company

–      Ability to work independently

–      Knowledge of Quickbooks

–      Worked with Google Sheets before – Excel

–      Willing to travel
