Job Description And Qualifications

Priorities and Objectives

  • Ensure SAFETY at all times.
  • Effective interaction with the Project Logistics Service Provider (LSP)
  • Execute Logistics tasks within schedule.
  • Comply with Logistics Operations Plan.
  • Ensure correct workflow sequence, throughout the project. Ensure that the work is executed in accordance with the agreed integrated schedule.
  • Maintain system for the recording and reporting of work and material and equipment movements are adhered to.
  • Compliance with the company procedures.
  • Ensure that HSE and QA procedures are adhered to by sub-contractors

Roles and Responsibility

  • Support of all Project Logistics Operations Site related activities
  • Ensure timely Customs Clearance and delivery of materials and equipment to site
  • Ensure timely receiving of materials and equipment by the Materials Management team
  • Ensure timely unstuffing of containers, collection and return to same by LSP
  • Ensure Delivery notes are issued to LSP and maintain copy and register of same
  • Coordinate deliveries with LSP
  • Monitor and maintain SPMAT Logistics Module in regards to Customs Clearance and delivery to site.
  • Monitor LSP’s ILMS
  • Resolve any discrepancies with LSP and Materials Management
  • Manage any temporary exports for repair and maintain register
  • Maintain a strong HSE awareness.
  • Review daily/weekly reporting and resolve any discrepancies
  • Prepare incident reports within required time frame for submission to PSLL & Project HSE Team
  • Create and maintain database for all government receipts for published charges and tariffs related to discharge and delivery to site
  • Arrange Marine Warranty Discharge Surveys as instructed by Project Site Logistics Lead (PSLL)
  • Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) when any discrepancy is observed
  • Liaise as deemed necessary by PSLL with other Project functions and site to ensure that company’s goals are timely and effectively achieved
  • Handle access permit applications for subcontractors and project staff including Site related training
  • Maintain and update KPI register
  • Highlight any risks to achieving timely delivery of materials and equipment to PSLL.
  • Establish and maintain complete correct list of equipment and materials for Transportation planning purposes including all dimensions and weights.
  • Ensure Logistics compliance with company procedures.
  • Any other activities as deemed necessary by Project Site Logistics Lead (PSLL)

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 5 years or more

Degree: Not required

Candidate requires :

  • 5 years’ experience or more working for Tier1 Project Logistics companies, EPC Contractors, or O&G service companies mandatory
  • Experience with capital projects, preferably in KSA and/or Middle East mandatory
  • Remote Site based experience mandatory
  • Multimodal experience mandatory
  • Out of Gauge cargo transportation mandatory
  • NEBOSH/IOSH not required but desirable
  • Logistics related degree desirable but not required
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) mandatory, knowledge of Arabic a plus
