Job Title: Head of Sales & Marketing

Reports to: Managing Director         

Location: Ghana

The position of Head of sales & marketing is to provide strategic leadership to the sales function of Interbrands / Acadia. Reporting to the Managing Director this position is to facilitate the control of the sales function and ensure, new and existing suppliers and new and existing growth opportunities are continuously evaluated and introduced to grow market share and business profitability. Team motivation, coaching, succession planning and capability building are included in this scope.

Duties & Responsibilities

·        Clearly identified brand, pack and price strategy by channel type, referred to as the channel picture of success

·        Clearly identified route to market strategy

·        Managed discount structure

·        Accurate volume forecasting

·        Horizontal and vertical growth opportunities are continuously investigated.

·        Cost control of the sales and marketing departments operational cost

·        Leadership, provide managers and staff with strategic, tactical, and operational support (HR turnover, Internal promotions, Sustainable solutions)

·        Performance appraisals identifying capability and training development needs

·        Team motivation

·        Manage account receivables.

·        Customer satisfaction measures

Requirements

·               Proven experience as retail manager or in other managerial position

·               Knowledge of retail management best practices

·               Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

·               Excellent organizing and leadership skills

·               Commercial awareness

·               Detail Oriented

·               Team building and management proficiencies

·               Strong interpersonal skills

·               Analytical mind and familiarity with data analysis principles

·               Excellent knowledge of retail management software (e.g., MS RMS)

·               BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field; MSc/MA is desirable plus 8-10 years of related experience

·               Prior knowledge and experience in sales and/or marketing within the food industry.
