Job Description

Role Purpose:

  •  To participate in the development of the overall Company’s strategy and the formulation of the Company’s policies and procedures.
  •  To coordinate, supervise and follow-up all financial, accounting and budgeting activities in the Company and ensure that financial and management controls are exercised over the corporate trading and capital expenditures.

 

Key Accountabilities

  •  Participates in the development and in the formulation of the overall financial strategy.
  •  Translates the annual budgets into monetary terms and submits them to the DVP – Finance for discussion and approval.
  •  Prepares financial business plans and submits them for discussion and approval.
  •  Coordinates and supervises all financial and accounting operations e.g. credits, expenditures, account collection, sales, purchasing etc.
  •  Follows-up the comparative budgeting reports and recommends corrective action as necessary, based on the actual results achieved.
  •  Ensures the proper implementation of the established Company’s policies, of all the financial contracting and the participation of the Finance Department in the warehousing and fixed assets inventories
  •  Explains to the concerned department and section heads the financial policies and clarify the procedures to be followed and oversee their execution.
  •  Assists and advises the Sales Director on financial matters related to sales, pricing, sales representatives’ compensation etc.
  •  Reviews the contracts prior to approbation to identify their financial impact on the corporate operations.
  •  Ensures the adoption of all necessary measures to protect the Company’s assets e.g. internal control and proper insurance coverage.
  •  Conducts various financial and organizational studies in order to analyse and suggest means for the optimal utilization of resources.
  •  Ensures the efficient operation of the computerized financial applications and suggest necessary development of the computerized applications and employee training.
  •  
  •  Coordinates with bankers, external auditors, financial institutions and insurance companies to resolve all corporate related matters following DVP – Finance approval.
  •  Supervises and controls the preparation of all the financial and management reports and ensures their timeliness within the framework of the corporate established policies and procedures and in compliance with the top management requirements.
  •  Prepares, on periodic basis, a progress report related to the Finance Department activities.
  •  Monitors, on daily basis, financial markets to identify foreign currency speculation or forward trading.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • MBA (Preferably in Finance or Accounting) or equivalent professional qualification.

 

Experience:

  •   At least 15 years’ experience Finance and IT management experience

 

 

Skills and Knowledge:

 

  • Knowledge of the financial analysis methodologies and the accounting and reporting principles and requirements.
  • Computer literacy: MS office applications.
  • ERP system
