Doha College is a high-profile leading British International School in Qatar delivering a well-balanced, all-embracing English National Curriculum to students aged 3β18. The College was also the first High Performance Learning accredited school in the world. The opportunity
We are looking to appoint an experienced Head of Human Resources to join our team.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the post holder will be responsible for having a key role in evolving the HR Strategy of Doha College whilst also ensuring the full and comprehensive delivery of all tactical HR generalist activities as required in an educational establishment in Qatar.
The post holder will lead on the implementation of an HR management system and be responsible for the Single Central Record.
About you
It is crucial that the Head of HR knows what good policies and appropriate procedures look like and are able to ensure compliance with such policies across the whole College.
To be successful, you will be experienced, measured, highly professional and attentive to detail, and be able to balance effectively oversight with individual freedoms to deliver, quality assuring the work of the team members. You will be calm under pressure, able to demonstrate an ability to prioritise tasks, be highly motivated and personable, and be able to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with a range of different audiences. You would be expected to work flexible hours and working times to suit the needs of the business, though most days would run to a routine pattern.
We are a British international school and all of our lessons are taught in English. A high standard of written and spoken English is, therefore, essential.

Pre-interview tasks: Long-listed candidates will have tasks to complete remotely set on 11 July for submission on 13 July 2023.
Interviews: 19 July 2023 with short-listed candidates expected to receive a presentation title on 13 July and have to submit slides on 16 July 2023.
Interviews will be by Zoom.
Targeted start date: As soon as the preferred candidate is available (but the new academic year starts on 20 August 2023 so that would be ideal if possible).
