Job Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Act as a business partner to and work closely with all departments within GS to provide legal advices, specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks and deliver business – focused legal advice.
- Provide effective legal advice on various subjects/matters with the ability to develop and effectively communicate it, including the suggestion of alternative business solutions and best practices while considering client’s role, objectives and risk tolerance.
- Assess, manage, and prevent legal risks by research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of contracts, memoranda and other documents of a contractual nature, while minimize the company’s legal risks.
- Work with our stakeholders in our internal policy as per the local law and regulations.
- Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces by providing timely and effective legal advice parallelly achieving MAF objectives.
- Review commercial and corporate documents ensuring law, regulations and internal policies’ compliance.
- Liaise with our external counsel/s on disputes and litigations.
- Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies
- Sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information
Measure of Success – Illustrative KPIs:
- Give accurate and timely advise to executives in a variety of legal topics (labor law, Risk and Compliance, corporate finance etc.)
Personal Characteristics and Required Background:
- Bachelor and/or LLM of Law degree.
- Member of Egyptian Bar of Association.
- At least 7 years of business law experience at a large international law firm and/or multinational corporation’s legal department.
- In-house counsel experience.
- Open to travel when required.
- Bilingual is a must: English and Arabic.
