Process Engineer

Job Description

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

We are looking for a Process Engineer who will be responsible for creating and maintaining optimized production processes/formulation which ensure the correct quality and quantity of products including Right First Time and optimized stable throughput time.
This position is based in Dammam Second Industrial city and will be reporting to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for the process improvements within Operations by studying, assessing existing processes at site, (use of JOS tools) and communicates critical processing restrictions to operational decision makers in order to increase productivity and efficiency.
• Drive optimization of throughput on the machines by evaluating production processes and propose changes to produce maximum capacity and set alternative solutions during machine breakdown or quality stoppages.
• Make formulations available for production by following up process and quality deviators to ensure that products produced are according to Jotun standards required by Group R&D.
• Give technical support by providing feedback, collaborating with TSS, and cooperating close with maintenance to reduce product complaints.
• Implement projects related to Innovation and new raw materials by planning and organizing required actions such as, but not limited to, scale ups and testing schedules to keep up to market demands and company profitability.
• Conduct relevant operator training on local production process to ensure sustainable competence improvement.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER

We look for:

• Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering or Bachelor of Technology ​in Chemical Technology with minimum 5 years experience in Powder manufacturing unit or Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with minimum 10 years experience in Powder manufacturing Unit.
• Effective communication skills in English language.
• Competent in Microsoft Office Suite i.e. Excel.
