Job Description

Ø Provide support for the tendering, and contracting processes to ensure the

smooth function of the Contracts Department.

Ø Applies approved Procurement and tendering policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.

Ø Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the Division to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.

Ø Assists the proponent department in writing the RFP and reviews it for technical consistency and conformance to Company standards

Ø Provides advice to the proponent department on matters related to the tender documents and overall process

Ø Provides advice as required on different types of tendering Strategies as well as contract risks

Ø Implements the Company Contracting Procedure Manual governing each tender to ensure Compliance, a complete and fair process

Ø Prepares all required documentation in SAP to ensure Audit trail and minimize the risk of litigation against the Company

Ø Developing procurement strategies that are cost-effective, efficient, and meet the needs of the organization.

Ø Identify potential Contractors, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate contracts with them.

Ø Ensuring that all procurement activities comply with legal requirements, company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Ø Resolving any issues that arise during the procurement process.

Ø Collaborating with other departments within the organization to ensure that procurement activities are aligned with overall business objectives.

Ø Monitoring procurement performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

Ø Maintaining accurate records of all procurement activities.

Ø Providing guidance and support to other members of the procurement team as needed.

Ø Staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in procurement to continuously improve processes and procedures within the organization.

Ø Reviews team progress on tenders to ensure that key deadlines are met

Ø Mentors team on resolution of new or difficult issues to promote learning and growth of team members.

Ø Participates in the Joint Tender Committee to provide clarifications related to the tender or bidders

Ø Arranges pre-tender (Job Explanation) meetings as required with bidders so that they can present their offer and answer any queries.

Ø Prepares timely and accurate reports (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually) for Division in order to meet Company and Division requirements, policies and standards

Ø Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.

Skills

Ø Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Law, or Supply Chain Management.

Ø Preferably Ten 10 years of experience in contracting/tendering, contracts administration, and Document controller works in Oil and Gas industry.

Ø Excellent knowledge of the FIDIC Suite of Contracts

Ø Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal. Possessing an effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Ø Strong analytical and research skills.

Ø Excellent knowledge of PC software operations such as Microsoft Office, SAP, SAP Ariba, B2B systems, etc
