Job Description: Senior Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect to join our team. As a Senior Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, planning, and overseeing the construction and renovation of buildings and structures. You will collaborate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop innovative and functional architectural solutions that meet the needs of the project.

Responsibilities:

Design and Conceptualization: Develop creative and practical architectural designs, considering factors such as aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability. Prepare design proposals, sketches, and 3D models to communicate ideas effectively.

Project Management: Oversee architectural projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards. Coordinate with project teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants, to ensure seamless execution.

Client Collaboration: Collaborate closely with clients to understand their requirements, objectives, and preferences. Present design concepts and proposals, incorporating client feedback and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of architectural principles, building codes, regulations, and construction techniques. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and design teams.

Documentation and Specifications: Prepare detailed architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications for construction purposes. Review and approve shop drawings and material samples to ensure compliance with design intent and quality standards.

Research and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends, materials, and technologies in architecture and design. Incorporate sustainable and energy-efficient practices into architectural designs.

Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure construction activities align with design specifications and quality standards. Address any design or construction-related issues that may arise during the project.

Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration within the architectural team, as well as with external stakeholders. Participate in meetings, presentations, and discussions to exchange ideas and ensure project objectives are met.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

  • Proven experience as a Senior Architect, preferably in a diverse range of projects, such as residential, commercial, institutional, or public spaces.

  • Strong proficiency in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.) and visualization tools.

  • Extensive knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction practices.

  • Excellent design and conceptualization skills, with the ability to translate client requirements into innovative architectural solutions.

  • Solid project management abilities, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and inspire junior architects.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  • Familiarity with sustainable design principles and LEED certification is a plus.

  • Professional licensure as an architect is preferred but not mandatory.
