Role Purpose: The role of the FP&A Manager is to work closely with management to ensure financial integrity in all aspects of the operations and effectively co-ordinate and support a regional role by ensuring consistency in MIS, financial and operational control Ensuring acceptable levels of internal control and compliance with Policies & Procedures.

 

Job Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Preparation of monthly management reporting pack on a timely basis and supporting commentary on monthly and YTD variances.

• Reviews financial performance of operating assets with a view to maximize asset utilization and yield with the heads of each unit.

• Provides recommended course of action during strategic review of PL, BS, Cash Flow and CAPEX through delivery of Weekly forecast, Month end performance review, quarterly reporting, Planning cycles & LRP.

• Leads the end-to-end BI process for MAF Entertainment and provides insights & recommendations to improve business performance. • Recommends, designs, and implements improved processes that increase returns.

• Assists the Financial Controller in preparation of 5-year plans, financial simulations, analysis and presentation. Critically analyses of revenue projections, costs and compare trends.

• Supports senior management on ad-hoc management information from time to time.

• Monitors revenue / expenses across the portfolio and ensure the accurate recording as per established guidelines. Investigate and critique variances to plan or to prior year and offer practical improvement methodologies to management.

• Analyzes financial data and operations to advise management and to assist in achieving and maintaining the division’s financial objectives.

• Responsible for directing the division’s budgets to the achievement of the annual budget and work with heads of operations to develop the business in the long term toward the objectives in the business plan.

• Monitors all plans, forecasts and targets on a regular basis and submit adjustments for approval as required.

• Leads special projects team to deliver on all major Finance transformation projects and company-wide cost saving initiatives.

• Maintains compliance with the DOA and Policies and Procedures of the company.

• Hires, trains, supervises and develops staff, including coaching, counselling and discipline.

• Directs or prepare all financial reports in accordance with reporting requirements of the Division / Group.

• Conducts and contribute to periodic meetings with the management team.

• Responsible for budgeting, analysis and internal control for all business unit

• Leads budget and forecast preparation.

• Ensure that we are achieving the budget by conducting regular meetings with MKT and OPS team members.

• Monitors the PR approval cycle.

• Ensures the compliance of our books with the Egyptian Accounting Standards and IFRS

• Writes accounting policies and procedures related to accounting.

• Prepares and upload P+L budget and forecasts in Hyperion. 2

• Ensures integrity of information flowing from Vista into Power BI.

• Understanding of business drivers and key variables for the businesses.

• Requires initiative to generate analytical framework / models to convert raw business data to useful information.

• Performs any additional adhoc duties as and when required by the Line Manager and/or Head of Department.

• Able to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Occasional travel may be required within the region to support new project openings.

• Adheres to MAF Entertainment policies and procedures with regards to HSE, grooming, code of conduct, work ethics, working hours and attendance

Personal Characteristics and Required Background:

Skillset (job specific technical skills and behavioral competencies needed)

• Outline all technical skills needed such as Excel modelling etc

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be a team player with excellent leadership skills.

• Good presentation and sharp analytical skills, in particular the ability to interpret financial information to the management

• Ability to make decisions in accordance with responsibilities.

• The incumbent works with a high degree of independence in performing financial activities.

• Maintain strict confidentiality due to sensitive nature of information handled.

• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment

Minimum experience  

• Strong finance background in a professional organization with a minimum of 8 years’ experience.

• Advanced user of computer applications – particularly MS Excel and ERP. Minimum Qualifications/education

• Bachelor’s degree and with a professional qualification (CA, IFRS diploma, CPA or equivalent)
