Operations Manager
Job Description
<ul><li>Middle mile, Internal, Start to end domestic</li><li>Responsible for the whole transportation process. </li><li>Distribute the transportation plan for drivers to assure that they are following the plan. </li><li>Follow up with drivers for any complaints or problems and solve it. </li><li>Follow up with clients and solve their complaints. </li><li>Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all vehicles and equipment in the Distribution Center. </li><li>Implements and monitors a preventative maintenance program to assure cost effective maintenance. </li><li>Analyze maintenance costs and provide recommendations on fleet utilization and replacements.</li><li>Ensure the maintenance records for the fleet are accurate and up-to-date through recording of all expenditures for each vehicle, maintenance equipment, fuel, repair parts, supplies, etc.. </li><li>Negotiate service agreements to ensure cost efficiencies. </li><li>Maintain safe working conditions, monitoring parts inventory and ordering as needed.</li><li>Plan/develop and execute a vehicle and equipment replacement schedule.</li><li>Communicate maintenance requirements to ensure maximum efficiency and implement corrective actions as required.</li><li>Ensure timely delivery of customer authorizations to relevant department</li><li>Review authorizations for toll station transfers for discrepancies with suppliers</li><li>Verify compliance of transfer permissions with agreed delivery process and customer operating conditions</li><li>Conduct regular market visits for all customers</li><li>Provide weekly reports based on market observations</li><li>Work towards achieving company objectives and standards.<br></li></ul><strong><u>Requirements<br></u></strong><ul><li>Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related fields.</li><li>Minimum of 6 years of experience in operations management.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of operations management principles and practices, such as production planning, supply chain management, and quality control</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to manage and train staff</li><li>Experience in Transportation/Logistics Industry is preferred<br></li></ul>
