PROJECT DESCRIPTION

THE ROLE
The Design Manager – Infrastructure will be required to provide input to the senior management on design delivery related matters and be fully responsible for the successful delivery of infrastructure projects. The Design Manager – Infrastructure will be required to act as the single focal point of contact for design related matters between the Senior Design Manager and the other senior leadership roles and both internal and external delivery team members, to ensure the integrated management of the project. The Design Manager – Infrastructure will work in coordination with the project management team to ensure the project’s design stage objectives are met.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Senior Design Manager in the preparation of detailed project plan, as part of the Project Management Plan, for the infrastructure design phases of the program. Assist the Senior Design Manager to procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Minimum of 15 years overall experience Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role Experience managing the facilities design, or the planning and coordination of capital projects that included the overall design, contract administration, cost estimating, and scheduling activities Knowledge of operational aspects of civil & infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and utilities with experience in construction management and practice Excellent r eport writing and communication skills
