Contract type<p><br></p>Regular / Permanent<p><br></p>Significantly improve the quality, reliability and operational performance of water production.<p><br></p>Responsible for Operation &amp; Maintenance of water production (wells, plants and pumping stations), and for projects including Wells &amp; Pumping Station refurbishment, disinfection systems installation, and other water production-related projects within the SAWI scope.<p><br></p>Ensure to capture and communication of all water &amp; wastewater quality results for bulk water purchased, produced and distributed as well as for wastewater.<p><br></p><strong><u>What You Will Be Doing</u></strong><p><br></p><strong> Water production O&amp;M </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Assist the operator with the management of water production (wells, plants, pumping stations); monitor the well fields.</li><li> Lead the refurbishment of pumping stations: change of pumps, repair and renewal of electrical cabinets, piping and civil works.</li><li> Work closely with Water Networks Expert, Information Systems Specialist and other experts.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong> Water quality improvement </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Lead the rehabilitation of wells.</li><li> Significantly improve the quality of potable water &amp; treated effluent.</li><li> Select, install and operate suitable full-scale chlorination systems.</li><li> Ensure knowledge transfer to NWC team to maximize effectiveness in disinfection.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong> Laboratory Management. </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Assist in the operation of the new Central Laboratory.</li><li> Ensure assistance for the organization of laboratory activities in the Cluster (including WSD local laboratories).</li><li> Review and optimize current practices and introduces new practices based on international standards in line with local regulations for water quality monitoring.</li><li> Develop a new water and wastewater monitoring program.</li><li> Evaluate the available technical resources, including premises, equipment and measuring instruments.</li><li> Produce procedures for the use of equipment and analytical protocols.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Who We Are Looking For</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Senior Expert with 15 years of experience in the water sector and at least 10 years of experience in production, quality management, network diagnosis and improvement plan.</li><li> M.Sc./ Engineering Degree</li><li> Water &amp; Wastewater industry experience: 15 years</li></ul><p><br></p>BU: AMECA – Middle East &amp; Central Asia
