<p><strong>Job Brief:</strong> </p><br><br><p> The Procurement Officer will be responsible for providing an end-to-end procurement function for the supply of hospital items by sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, ordering, contracting and expediting orders to ensure stock availability of the right products at the right time. </p><br><br><p> <strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong> </p><br><br><ul><br> <li> Obtaining quotation locally &amp; overseas. </li><br> <li> Negotiating with the local and international vendors to obtain advantageous terms &amp; Conditions. </li><br> <li> Placing the purchase order for management approval, taking into consideration the products brand, availability and price. </li><br> <li> Monitoring progress of the urgent requirements and taking the required action. </li><br> <li> Preparing sheets for the evaluation, checking the requirement items against the vendor’s offers. </li><br> <li> Preparing sheets for the annual tenders. </li><br> <li> Maintains regular contacts with end users (hospital departments) in order to ensure that their needs are met. </li><br> <li> Maintains good relationship with vendors so as to ensure that the hospital’s needs are supplied expeditiously. </li><br> <li> Maintains a well-organized records system for all the related activities. </li><br> <li> Maintain the section activity in accordance with best procurement practices. </li><br> <li> Follow the policy &amp; procedure of the department and working in coordination with the general hospital policy, procedures, and standards. </li><br> <li> Comply with any assigned tasks related to procurement in the hospital. </li><br> <li> Comply with the schedule of the department. </li><br> <li> Assist in preparing weekly, monthly and annual reports and forms. </li><br> <li> Adheres to current organizational performance improvement priorities. </li><br> <li> Make recommendations and take actions to improve personal or departmental performance. </li><br> <li> Participates in quality studies through data collection. </li><br> <li> Perform other related duties as assigned by Superior. </li><br> <li> To apply and adhere to all hospital Quality Improvement and Patient Safety policies, procedures and standards. </li><br> <li> Serves in committees and teams as department representative. </li><br> <li> Responsible for the safety issues related to the job. </li><br> <li> Responsible for the confidentiality of information that they access to or came across during their work at the hospital. </li><br> <li> Responsible for complying with the hospital code of conduct and the patient and family rights’ standards. </li><br> <li> Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor. </li><br> <li> Deputizes other Procurement Officers during absence. </li><br> <li> Deputizes the Procurement Supervisor during absence. </li><br></ul><br><br><p> <strong>Professional Qualifications and Requirements:</strong> </p><br><br><ul><br> <li> Educational: bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or other equivalent field from recognized college. </li><br> <li> Professional experience: Minimum of (2) years of progressive post-graduate experience of similar filed or other relevant filed, preferably in healthcare organizations. </li><br> <li> Saudi Nationals are preferred. </li><br></ul><br><br><p> <strong>Skills:</strong> </p><br><br><ul><br> <li> Thorough knowledge of material supply organization policies, systems and procedures. </li><br> <li> Having good relationships with all the key persons all over the medical vendors. </li><br> <li> Having good computer skills, knowledge of MS office application (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). </li><br> <li> Having Good command of oral and written in English and Arabic. </li><br> <li> Customer Service Oriented. </li><br> <li> Working in a team group. </li><br> <li> Capability of working in stressful situations and circumstances. </li><br> <li> Knowledge of security policies and procedures. </li><br> <li> In-depth knowledge of the market products and authorities’ regulations. </li><br> <li> Contract management, Strong negotiation and analytical capabilities.</li></ul>
