<strong>A</strong> <strong>ccountabilities</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Ability to read and interpret structural drawings.</li><li> Ability to check and interpret approved shop drawing and work procedures.</li><li> Ability to interpret and apply various codes of standard practice.</li><li> Attend daily tool box meeting and all potential quality issues to prevent occurrence of defects.</li><li> Carry out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures.</li><li> Assure fabrication and installation records from inspection and tests are being prepared and verified.</li><li> Ensure required inspection reports are in accordance with all requirements.</li><li> Identify critical quality issues in a proactive manner to facilitate improvements.</li><li> To ensure internal quality controls area in place and being maintained properly.</li><li> Conduct stage wise inspections like material, fit-up and visual for fabrication and installation works.</li><li> Work closely with other personnel such as the production team in order to deliver high quality work together.</li><li> Proper QA/QC documentation for all materials, including the certificates, calibration, test results, inspection request, non-compliance reports and site instructions/observation and other QA/QC documentation.</li><li> Check welder certificate and welder performance qualifications.</li><li> Conduct inspection to determine welding procedure and hull construction standard are as per AIP and client requirement specification.</li><li> Attend internal/final inspection and coordination of all inspection requirements with Class, AIP and Client for structural and outfitting’s item.</li><li> Monitors the proper execution by the shipyard of NDT procedures according to plans.</li><li> Monitor and ensure all structure works are carried out according to the latest revision structural drawing and complies with the specification, class requirements and quality management.</li><li> Liaise with the shipyard production and QA/QC department in order to monitor that the vessel is being built according to approved drawings and quality standards.</li><li> Liaise with class bureau to monitor the structure is built according to class regulations.</li><li> Reports to Structural Lead and Construction Manager any Non-Conformities without delay and assist in corrective actions.</li><li> Other eventual tasks in line with the position of structural and outfitting inspector may reasonably be expected. Qualifications and Experience</li><li> Diploma/Degree holder in mechanical engineering or related field</li><li> English – fluent written and verbal skills</li><li> Strong leadership &amp; interpersonal skills applied to a multidisciplined project team.</li><li> Recent relevant experience in middle east / southeast Asian shipyards is an advantage.</li><li> Comprehensive knowledge in Piping, Structure, welding, material, corrosion and NDE.</li><li> Valid welding Inspector certificate is compulsory (API 570, CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2).</li><li> Familiar with the Class rules. DNV-GL</li><li> Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role.</li><li> Strong communicator and creative, flexible and calm in stressful situations</li></ul><p><br></p>Cooperative and positive attitude.<p><br></p><ul><li> Able to work independently.</li><li> Recent relevant experience in shipyards is an advantage.</li><li> Recent relevant experience of UK project execution is an advantage.</li><li> High safety awareness.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Offer</strong><p><br></p>Dovre Group is an equal opportunity employer.
