Your future role &amp; Job Purpose<p><br></p><strong>Job Purpose:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Electrical Engineer is responsible to safely, timely and cost-effectively lead the performance of all electrical related maintenance day to day activities as per the asset management plans to achieve asset management objectives and therefore achieve IMI strategic objectives. </li><li>“To preserve the function of our physical assets throughout their life period to the satisfaction of international standards through continued process improvement, selecting and applying the most cost-effective techniques along with proactively preventing and managing failures and their consequences. <br><br></li></ul> Key Accountabilities &amp; Working Relationships<p><br></p><strong>Key Accountabilities:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Adhere to regulations, quality, security, and safety standards.</li><li>Liaise with projects’ stockholders, asset management team and other engineers to ensure full and timely support is provided.</li><li>Read and interpret schematics, manuals, wiring diagrams, and other specifications, as required, to determine and correctly follow installation procedures.</li><li>As applicable, supervise performing preventive maintenance, emergency maintenance, </li><li>troubleshooting, and repair of all types of electrical equipment failures including but not limited to 13.8 KV switchgears, 400-volt switchboards, transformers, DC system, 400 Volt motor control centers, AC and DC motors, contactors, capacitors bank, process equipment and electronic control system devices.</li><li>Review and approve all the plans to shut down electrical systems and/or equipment to allow for </li><li>inspections, renovations, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting</li><li>As applicable, supervise and guide the diagnosis of faults, the maintenance, and repairs of all types of electrical assets in a safe, timely and professional manner and return assets to operational service.</li><li>Participate and witnessing in electrical systems testing and commissioning for existing and new installation equipment with contractors and provide observations.</li><li>Work closely with the ESOs and make sure that they perform their work safely, timely and cost effectively.</li><li>Develop, review, and approve preventive maintenance calendars and checklists aiming to improve efficiency and quality.</li><li>Work and supervise the O &amp; M contractor to ensure full compliance to safety and quality.</li><li>Involved in handover process for electrical system/ equipment, workshops, warehouses, and buildings.</li><li>Prepare scope of work and designs related to electrical projects and day to day activities.</li><li>Prepare technical reports, project updates and status reports for team and senior management.</li><li>Technically support other asset management departments/divisions with their day-to-day activities as needed.</li><li>Undertake special projects as required.</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement activities.</li><li>Lead and/or support young trainees and apprentices &amp; M Contractor </li><li>YDTS Function </li><li>Production/Projects Managers </li><li>FMSS Function<br><br></li></ul> Who we are looking for<p><br></p><strong>Education:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>BS Degree in Electrical (Power) Engineering or equivalent, Master’s degree in Electrical engineering is a plus.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Experience:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Minimum of 9-15 years combined experience as an Electrical Engineer exposed in all related electrical maintenance activities. </li><li>IFS practical experience is a plus.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Professional Qualifications (Certifications &amp; Accreditations):</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Training and Seminar Certificates in Electrical Works</li><li>OSHA and/or NEBOSH Certifications</li><li>ETAP and AutoCAD is a plus</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Competencies (Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities):</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Understanding of Health and Safety practices</li><li>Knowledge of electrical MV and LV substations and their related assets such as transformers and switchgear.</li><li>Comprehensive Knowledge of maintenance program and strategies. </li><li>Deep knowledge of power system protection and schematic</li><li>Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards</li><li>Understanding engineering, scientific and other technical information </li><li>Planning and prioritizing activities</li><li>Advanced Problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to present data effectively.</li><li>Excellent team working skills.</li><li>Ability to transfer knowledge to others. </li><li>Quickly adapt to changes and learn new skills and techniques.</li><li>Must have a working knowledge of OSHA and/or NEBOSH standards and practices.</li><li>Knowledgeable about MV and LV electric networks and systems</li><li>Excellent Computer Skills in MS Office</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Languages:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>English.
