Job Description
Reporting to the Director Talent & Culture, Corporate, the Learning & Development Director will oversee the L&D opportunities across the region in collaboration with Accor Academy leaders across the company, driving a learning & talent development culture and ensuring the delivery of operational performance through an integrated and innovative strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
As a key leader within our corporate Talent & Culture team, the Director of Learning & Development is responsible for driving a continuous learning culture, ensuring that learning is available, supported, prioritized, and executed, enabling organizational learning to be achieved through robust processes for identifying, sharing and embedding knowledge.
– In conjunction with the Director of Talent Management & Talent acquisition, develop the annual learning strategy and catalogue offerings, aligned with the regional Talent & Culture strategy and operational priorities.
– Collaborates with the Global Academy Team function by adapting and executing all Academy learning programs & initiatives.
– Strategically partner & consult with key stakeholders and business leaders (VPOs, General Managers, Corporate leaders, Talent & Culture teams) to identify and understand learning needs, creating a best-in-class learning approach that balances Hubs needs.
– Assists with the development and implementation of training strategies, ensuring pre-opening and re-branding hotels are provided with a high level of learning support.
– Ensure that global brand and culture initiatives are embedded globally.
– Deliver a high-quality learning solution to business units across the Hub.
– Support hotels with integrating and administering INES as a core learning resource.
– Act as an adviser to effectively leverage resources and provide guidance to the business on the usage of emerging technologies, thought leadership, practices and trends.
– Certifies property-based trainers & facilitators and L&D teams to deliver various programs.
– Manage programs with agreed budget, select and manage external consultant or manage the deployment of internal consultant.
– Work with the Director Talent & Culture Corporate on the preparation and management of the Academy annual department budget, driving participation in learning solutions & programs, ensuring revenue targets are met, and managing expenses as well as aging debtors to deliver cost neutral results.
– Lead, coach and develop capability within the Global Academy team, provide direction and inspiration for high standards of excellence.
– Ensure alignment with the global learning and development ethos around co-design of new programs and enhancement of existing programs.
– Tailor the learning content of global programs to suit the needs of the region (including language translations).
– Conduct on-job training and task breakdown training.
– Ability to travel across the globe.
