We are hiring a Business Analyst to join a UAE-based technology highly backed tech unicorn embarked on a mission to build the world’s first ultra platform & ecosystem, that will disrupt the consumer technology space by rethinking the boundaries of a digital ecosystem.

The platform will provide seamless connectivity between consumers and businesses, enabling users to effortlessly access home, e-commerce, and fintech services in one place.

The role will report directly to the Senior Product Manager and will be responsible for gathering requirements, conducting detailed analysis (financial & non-financial) and presenting improvement initiatives. What you will do

  • Extract data from financial and non-financial databases, statements and records and compile analysis, for accurate, timely functional reporting

  • Liaise with various functions and other business analysts in order to collect the needed information to support the intended analysis and report findings

  • Participate in creating the functional budget and financial status with reference to costs, overheads, revenue projections, customer status analysis etc.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

  • Work closely with assigned business function(s) and respond to ad-hoc reporting requests in order to ensure operational effectiveness and support decision-making

  • Create detailed project management statements and reports to create visibility and transparency on all key deliverables

  • Track performance against targets set in the yearly strategic plans; report variances and recommend appropriate steps to assigned functions

Continuous improvement

  • Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, develop and implement solutions

  • Recommend business process improvements, mainly pertaining to data collection and reporting to enhance business analysis capabilities

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in line with global best practices

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

Follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent

  • Knowledge with consumer finance business. 2-3 years of relevant experience preferably with a financial institution, consumer finance companies

  • Familiar with the digital finance environment

  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships across various levels in the organization

  • Advanced data analysis & numerical ability

  • Ability to generate reports in an accurate manner

  • Ability to work under pressure and adjust quickly to changing priorities

We are looking for someone with an extensive background in financial services/consumer banking/fintech with an in-depth understanding of shariah compliance and regulations.
