Job purpose:

Within the framework of Technip values, policies, and contract commitments (including HSES, quality,

time & cost), the Project Manager is responsible for the performance of all works that relate to ongoing

and new assigned projects.

Job scope and Accountabilities:

Responsible for the performance on the project(s) (may be more than one). This covers Studies, medium

to large FEED as well as detail Engineering projects executed by Technip Doha or a portion of major projects executed by other Technip entities such as those based in Europe and the Asia pacific.

He has authority to make decisions on behalf of the Company on all project-related matters both

Technical and Commercial (PM to justify all decisions made on commercial matters with the Company’s

internal Management Team prior to implementation). In addition, he shall be responsible for:

Managerial

  • Commits the Company towards clients, partners, subcontractors and vendors.
  • Ensures timely internal and external reporting.
  • Manages, informs, and leads the project team by setting and monitoring performance targets.
  • Contributes to people development by interfacing with the project department and HR.
  • Guarantees achievement or improvement of P&L forecasts.
  • Ensures coordination of interfaces.
  • Ensures project execution and financial close out with appropriate feedback.
  • Creates a quality and HSE-oriented work climate that encourages client satisfaction and HSE consciousness among the project team.

Execution

  • Ensures project execution within time, budget and QHSES requirements by allocating resources, managing risks/opportunities and changes, coordinating and supervising project engineers and engineering resources
  • Defines engineering coordination procedures, issues the basic data for design and approves general project specifications.
  • Ensures timely approval of engineering documents from the client as well as timely technical and economical definition of change orders and/or claims.
  • Contributes to schedule preparation, actively controls schedule execution and proposes corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensures compliance to manhours budget by proposing optimized technical solutions.
  • Ensures coordination of interfaces among engineering disciplines and with Client and
  • subcontractors
  • Defines and coordinates permitting process with third parties (e.g. certifying authority, local
  • authorities, etc.) to obtain approval on engineering documents.

Must have:

  • Engineering Degree with a minimum of 10 to 15 years experience in project management roles
  • Experience in oil and gas engineering
  • Professional language skills in English
