<strong><u>Role Summary</u></strong><p><br></p>Your main role as a health and safety specialist is to work on preventive initiatives for accidents, injuries, and work-related illness as well as improving the riders safety wellbeing in alignment with the regional health and safety Manager.<p><br></p><strong>What’s On Your Plate?</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Create riders health & safety Processes and SOPs, and ensure the implementation of these processes in compliance with the law and to achieve set targets.</li><li>Conduct risk assessments. These highlight the areas of potential risk that you must reduce.</li><li>Train suppliers’ trainers on your health and safety procedures. Give proper training on particular risks in the riders area of work, and how they can prevent these.</li><li>Conduct frequent safety inspections and checks in coordination with talabat Patrollers</li><li>Improve riders accidents reporting. You must ensure that all suppliers and riders are aware of the correct reporting procedure and ensure that they know how to properly report accidents.</li><li>Monitor and improve rider insurance process</li><li>Respond to any safety complaints and concerns raised by Suppliers/Riders. You should investigate their claims and put plans in place to remove the danger.</li><li>Enhance and improve rider Safety and well-being</li><li>Provide talabat Patrollers required safety courses that can impact the fleet safety, including Road Safety awareness, First Aid Training and Food hygiene</li><li>Participate in improving Rider Training Material (Health & Safety Modules)</li><li>Lead a team of coordinators to ensure the data integrity of rider Database</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>What Did We Order?</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels, ranging from riders and operations agents to directors.</li><li>2-3 years experience in Health and Safety</li><li>Leadership skills</li><li>Detail-oriented and proactive problem solver, who is able to find solutions that are practical and effective</li><li>You are happy working in a fast-paced environment and see changes as opportunities.</li><li>High level of empathy and compassion toward riders, restaurants and customers.</li><li>Confident user of Excel, Google documents, spreadsheets, and smartphone apps</li><li>Fluent in English and in Arabic, Urdu is a plus</li></ul>
