Aspire Software is looking for Senior Database Administrator to join Octave team in Lebanon !

Octave company is a software retail POS business that provides cloud-based solutions to its clients. We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Microsoft SQL database systems within our physical data center and Azure cloud environments

What Your Day Will Look Like:

  • Manage and maintain the performance, security, and reliability of our Microsoft SQL database systems in our DC and Azure cloud environment.
  • Develop and implement database strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure optimal performance and maximum uptime.
  • Monitor and analyze database performance metrics, troubleshoot performance issues, and optimize database performance.
  • Develop and maintain database backup and recovery plans, disaster recovery plans, and high availability solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement database-related projects and initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior database administrators.
  • Manage and maintain database security, including access control, authentication, and data encryption.
  • Document database system architecture, configurations, and procedures

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Database Administrator in a physical or cloud-based environment.
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server database management systems.
  • Experience working with Azure cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of database architecture and design principles.
  • Experience with database performance optimization and tuning.
  • Experience with database backup and recovery, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
  • Familiarity with database security concepts and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in French.
