<strong>Job Overview</strong><p><br></p>As a recognized leader, the Manager of Data Analysis and AI is responsible for the leadership design, develop, analyze and execute strategic directions, technology roadmap establishes organization, and plans department’s budgets and programs. The Manager analyze the yard data and oversees management, and delivery of smart solutions, big data analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning Models and deliver value for the company with data. Identify, lead, and manage innovative approaches to business challenges and work with teams across the business functions to deliver customer-centric products and services that generate revenue and profit. The incumbent is also responsible for stimulating an environment for innovation to lead new thinking and nurture new ideas from concept, through the pilot, and into the mainstream activity.<p><br></p>The Manager of Data Analysis and AI would be the focal point within the Company to lead on smart yard execution, looking at the overarching vision and objectives to be achieved. The Manager of Data Analysis and AI would align and execute the AI solutions and operationalize them. Design the AI roadmap that enhances current processes incubates new smart programs that add incremental value to the bottom line. Identify and build external partnerships with vendors, partners, and customers to bring in expertise from the outside. Works closely with senior leadership and presenting to the Board of managers. The incumbent needs to collaborate with senior stakeholders in different business units. Defining holistic project plans and strategies and supervising the project portfolio’s implementation. The incumbent must ensure that the organizational capability, infrastructure, and people embrace the change journey.<p><br></p>Additionally, this role may be responsible for leadership and oversight of multiple research ‎teams and interactions with strategic partners and universities.<p><br></p>Key Responsibilities<p><br></p><ul><li> Within directions provided by VP – Digitalization, and Innovation, the incumbent undertakes studies, develops programs, and plans for Data Analysis and AI. The programs and projects that require regular interaction with all business functions and the departments involved in planning and implementing smart yard are aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.</li><li> Develop and execute the digitalization projects roadmap and innovation strategy and deliver revenue streams, cost savings, and operational efficiencies for the IMI business.</li><li> Ensure that all relevant plans and projects are aligned with corporate strategic plans.</li><li> Evaluate, develop, and, where appropriate, support, exploit intellectual property, effectively working with other functions within IMI along the innovation pathway, from the conception of innovation to its eventual commercialization, adoption, and dissemination, where required.</li><li> Collaborate with all business functions to ensure yard execution plans are incorporated into their operational strategies.</li><li> Work closely with the IMI Information Technology and Information Security functions to ensure that fundamental business information processes support the smart yard.</li><li> Manage and monitor the smart yard project portfolio and management dashboard.</li><li> Provide clear guidance on matters relating to intellectual property and its management as they arise and work closely with the Legal Function to ensure the best interests of IMI are preserved.</li><li> Promote and encourage coaching and developing plans for younger talents within the Function</li><li> Evaluate and select digital technologies</li><li> Implement smart yard initiatives</li><li> Develop and implement IMI Shipyard digital twin/metaverse and AI</li><li> Proven experience in Statistics and data science</li><li> Proven experience in developing Machine Learning, regression, optimization, recommendation, and neural networks, among other techniques</li><li> Working experience with data science tools like Python, R, Scala, Julia, or SAS</li><li> Prior experience in driving insights using visualization and analytics tools</li><li> Knowledge of cloud and analytic operating models</li><li> Experience of cloud services like AWS, Azure and big data tools like Hadoop, Hive and Spark</li><li> Experience in AI, machine learning, data science, and other related areas</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><strong>Education </strong><p><br></p>A Bachelor’s degree in data science and a related discipline like mathematics, statistics, computer science or physics<p><br></p><strong>Professional Qualifications</strong><p><br></p>IT Industry Accredited and related certificate e.g., ITIL, MCSE, CCA, SAS, CEH.<p><br></p><strong>Competencies </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Ability to work independently and under tight time pressures – planning, prioritizing, and controlling own workload.</li><li> Knowledge and experience in AI technology.</li><li> Python, R, Scala, Julia, or SAS and visualization tools</li><li> AWS, Azure and big data tools like Hadoop, Hive and Spark</li><li> Knowledge of Database systems, e.g., MS SQL, Oracle, etc.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Experience</strong><p><br></p>Eighteen (18) years of progressive professional ‎experience, including at least five years as a specialist with full responsibility for supervising major project work and gaining recognition as a leading expert in the shipbuilding field.<p><br></p><strong>Languages </strong><p><br></p>Fluent in written and spoken English Language, Analytical Skills, Communication Skills.<p><br></p>Working Relations<p><br></p><strong>Internal Interactions</strong><p><br></p>Frequent contact with all technical, professional, and management personnel to executive duties and make presentations, occasional contact with Executive Management. Contact with management and personnel in the organization to carry out studies stimulates innovation, etc.<p><br></p><strong>External Interactions </strong><p><br></p>Contact colleagues in other companies and technical societies to keep abreast of developments and present to IMI leadership, Board, and Shareholder representatives.
