<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong><strong>The Role<br><br></strong>The <strong>Corporate & Internal Communications Manager </strong>at GM Egypt (&North Africa) plays an important role in leading the formation and execution of our corporate and internal communications strategies and initiatives. These will be in line with the organizations objectives to build and consolidate its reputation with key external stakeholders and the wider public, as well as keeping all internal stakeholders informed and nurture a positive and collaborative environment.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><strong>Overview: </strong>Develop and implement corporate and internal communication strategies and initiatives that align with the organization’s vision, mission, and goals, and that effectively communicate key messages to internal and external stakeholders.<ul><li>Corporate Communications</li><ul><li>Coordinate with GM Africa Middle East Communications team on all activities</li><li>Build and maintain best in class relations with external stakeholders such as media and industry analysts, understand their needs, engage them on a constant basis and leverage those relationships within the strict compliance policies of GMβs Win with Integrity</li><li>GM Egypt Corporate communications gold source: generate and provide market fact sheets, hot topics guides for internal use, and external as required.</li><li>Develop and distribute corporate communications materials, such as executive speeches, press releases effectively (inc. fact sheets, executive bios)</li><li>GM Egypt Managing Director communications: </li><ul><li>internal announcements, external LinkedIn strategy and content</li><li>Support on internal and external speaking opportunities </li></ul><li>Develop, draft, and distribute corporate news to local media (Press Releases, Fact Sheets, Executive Bios & other announcements)</li><li>Schedule, support and oversee execution of media interview both on site and off site, as well as virtual for key GM Egypt Leadership</li><li>Support GM International and GM Africa Middle East Operations leadership visits as required</li><li>Develop, plan, and oversee execution of media events, on site/off site, include but not limited to announcements, press conferences, facility tours, new product manufacturing plant visits, photo opportunities etcβ¦</li><li>Lead and manage any and all CSR initiatives</li><li>Special projects as required </li><li>Key point to ensure readiness and manage crisis communications as and when required, work closely with senior leadership to effectively communicate, and protect GM and GM Egypt reputation in any potential or actual crisis situation.</li><li>Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of corporate communication strategies and initiatives and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.<br><br></li></ul></ul><ul><li>Internal Communications</li><ul><li>Coordinate with GM Africa Middle East Communications team on all activities</li><li>Manage internal communication channels and tools, such as email, intranet, newsletters, and social media, to ensure that all internal stakeholders are informed and engaged.</li><li>Develop and distribute internal communications materials, ensure they are clear, concise, and engaging.</li><li>Collaborate with other departments in and outside Egypt to ensure consistency and alignment of messaging.</li><li>Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal communication strategies and initiatives and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.</li><li>Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promote open communication and transparency, and encourage staff members to provide feedback</li><li>Manage internal events, such as staff meetings and town halls, ensure that they are well-planned, executed, and effective in communicating organizational messaging</li><li>Support on Issues management for internal <br><br><br></li></ul></ul><strong>Other Responsibilities:<br></strong><ul><li>Efficient planning and utilization of functional budget<br><br></li></ul><strong>Agency management:<br></strong><ul><li>Agency support to be available Ad-Hoc<br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements β Including Experience, Skills, Education, Etc.<br></strong><ul><li>The role requires at least 7 yearsβ experience working in a communications function, preferably with a breadth of experience across internal and external communications.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field. An advanced degree is valuable.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders both in person and in virtual settings.</li><li>Proficiency in digital communications channels</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic & English, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization, as well as externally.</li><li>Demonstrated experience developing and implementing effective corporate and internal communication strategies and initiatives.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.</li><li>Experience managing crisis communication strategies and initiatives is preferred</li><li>Knowledge of product development and global automotive landscape preferred</li><li>Strong command of publishing, and supporting IT tools & software (MS Office or Similar)<br><br></li></ul><strong>About GM<br><br></strong>Our vision is a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion and we embrace the responsibility to lead the change that will make our world better, safer and more equitable for all.<br><br>Why Join Us<br><br>We aspire to be the most inclusive company in the world.
