Job Purpose<p><br></p>We are looking to hire Marine CAD Designer who will be responsible for but not limited to:<p><br></p><ul><li>Marine Technical Designer is responsible for producing professional CAD drawings, where applicable, to facilitate various marine activities planned anywhere within IMI Yard, ensuring it is maintained in accordance with company policy and complies with government regulation. “To preserve the function of our physical assets throughout their life period to the satisfaction of international standards through continued process improvement, selecting and applying the most cost-effective techniques along with proactively preventing and managing failures and their consequences. “The Result of Maintenance work is process reliability, together, the result is production reliability.<br><br></li></ul> Key Accountabilities &amp; Working Relationships<p><br></p><strong>Key Accountabilities:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Produces professional CAD (AutoCAD) drawings to facilitate various marine activities planned anywhere within IMI Yard.</li><li>Review and discuss specifications/method statements/engineering requirements for determining safe marine activities strategy and in turn producing CAD drawings to facilitate the operation.</li><li>Liaise with various divisions within the marine operations department on various marine activities for the yard and fully understand the requirements.</li><li>Liaise with IMI Engineering function on various marine activities for the yard and fully understand the requirements.</li><li>Understand the planning of marine activities in association with planning division.</li><li>Support the Production &amp; Project Managers with planning for maximizing utilization of resources.</li><li>Support the Human Resources Department with effective recruitment &amp; selection of personnel.</li><li>Participate in the development and continuous review of operating procedures for various marine activities.</li><li>Work closely with HSE to engineer out potential hazards, to provide a safe working environment, for all employees.</li><li>Work closely with and understand the Harbor Services (Pilots, Tugs etc.) planning movements, dry-docking &amp; berthing operations, dry docks gate operations, flooding &amp; de-flooding etc.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Working Relationships:</strong><p><br></p><strong>Internal Interactions: </strong><p><br></p><ul><li>AMMO’s various departments &amp; other IMI functions.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>External Interactions:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>As required by company needs<br><br></li></ul> Who we are looking for<p><br></p><strong>Education:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Diploma or Trade Qualification in relevant area</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Experience:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>6 – 11 years’ core experience in working as a designer producing drawings for </li><li>operation or production within the shipbuilding industry. </li><li>AutoCAD and computer proficient with strong leadership &amp; amp; management skills.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Professional Qualifications (Certifications &amp; Accreditations):</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Basic firefighting/Elementary first aid (Having these courses are preferable however, they can be obtained post hiring. Also, other requirements may arise in a later stage)</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Competencies (Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities):</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Proficient in AutoCAD for producing professional engineering drawings.</li><li>Understanding of Asset Management and IFS systems, and relevant ISO </li><li>standards. Knowledge or understanding of SOLAS &amp; IMO regulations, </li><li>Classification &amp; Flag State Requirements will be an added advantage.</li><li>Good presentation skills and excellent interpersonal skills.</li><li>Be Physically active and able to complete a full medical assessment.</li><li>Demonstrates ability to listen to the views of others and respond in a </li><li>logical, well thought out manner without the need to resort to authority.</li><li>Resilient under stress and capable of managing competing priorities.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Languages:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>English.
