<p>Join our SeaWorld Abu Dhabi team!</p><p><br></p><p>Rides engineer responsible is to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the Miral Experiences Leisure Facilities in the Technical Services Rides Department in relation to the Company Core Process; thus directly impacting on the maintenance of rides, facilities and attractions.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>This position applies a working knowledge of engineering fundamentals to the division’s engineering activities under the direction of Rides Management team, required to interact with other personnel to provide project-related engineering support including those in QA, Installation, and Procurement. It involves the design, production support, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of ride systems.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Scope:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Maintain, erect, repair and troubleshoot various theme park rides and attractions as directed.</li><li>Execute efficient preventive maintenance program and identify the causes of malfunctions.</li><li>Perform visual inspections of assigned rides and attractions as necessary and will be able to train junior staff for inspections as necessary.</li><li>Remove, install, repair and test all electromechanical equipment of rides, animation and attractions.</li><li>Perform other maintenance functions and assists other colleagues as needed by supervision.</li><li>Independently performs difficult engineering tasks to completion that may include a variety of complex features, conflicting design requirements, unusual materials requirements, and the need to coordinate the work of others.</li><li>Provide feedback and technical perspective into the design during the design phase reviews.</li><li>Perform assembly, integration, factory testing, and maintenance/repairs on equipment/systems within his or her area of expertise in accordance with appropriate standards and procedures and in accordance with appropriate Safety Standards</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>As an ideal candidate, you must have:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Technical Diploma or Degree to related field</li><li>Working knowledge of industrial control products to include:</li><li>Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC),</li><li>Servo and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD),</li><li>Human Machine Interface (HMI) Panels,</li><li>Networking equipment (wired and wireless),</li><li>Analog, Digital and Serial devices.</li><li>3+ years’ direct hands-on experience in the area of expertise (mechanical, electro-hydraulic, electrical/electronic)</li><li>3+ years’ experience with equipment significantly similar to amusement attraction.</li><li>Should possess practical skill and proficient knowledge in two or more trades, such as: mechanical, electrical, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding and small combustion engine repair and maintenance.</li><li>Solid understanding of hardware, bolted connections, and torque.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively in all aspects of the area of expertise.</li><li>Strong testing and troubleshooting skills with the ability to think “outside the box”.</li></ul>
