Operations Manager – Freight & Relocation | Al Futtaim Automotive | Logistics

Overview of the role

We are currently looking forΒ Operations Manager – Freight & RelocationΒ for Al Futtaim Logistics in Abu Dhabi. As the Operations Manager, you should oversee the entire operations and financial performance of the Freight & Relocation Department within Abu Dhabi Branch of Al Futtaim Logistics.

What you will do

  • Accountable for development of Oil & Gas Industry Vertical within Al Futtaim Logistics
  • Fully accountable for the growth, success, and operational/financial results of the Abu Dhabi Branch Office
  • Fully accountable for all the assets under control, both human and material.
  • Complete ownership of the BU operational processes & risks, including the regular review and improvement thereof
  • First person of contact to represent the BU with the Customers, Government authorities, Senior Company Management and all Staff within the BU in Abu Dhabi region for Freight & Relocation related business.
  • Ensuring proactive and on-going liaison, communication, and action with all internal departments/customers in order to maximize intra-company efficiencies and bridge inter-departmental relationships.
  • Key focus on developing Oil & Gas Vertical within AFL.
  • Collaborate and develop Freight & Relocation opportunities within AF Group business in Abu Dhabi & Al Ain Region
  • Fully responsible for bringing new third party business
  • Ensure negotiate the rate and SLA with customer based on the internal DOA

Skills

Required skills to be successful

  • 5 years managerial experience in Oil & Gas Freight Forwarding
  • Strong operational knowledge on Freight Management, Fleet Management & Relocations
  • Knowledge of GCC road networks and operations
  • Adequate knowledge and work experience within Abu Dhabi market

  • Degree or Diploma preferably in Supply Chain or Logistics
  • Extensive experience in Freight & Relocation operations
  • Must have awareness about Freight industry and its products & services
  • Knowledge of GCC road networks and operations, International documentation requirements, Freight Management, Fleet Management, Relocations and routing and scheduling.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills and has the ability to solve problems quickly
