Job Description

Your future role &amp; Job Purpose<br><br>We are looking to hire <strong>Engineer II, Ship-lift System</strong>, who will be responsible for but not limited to<br><ul><li>Ensuring cost-efficient and safe operation of all the mechanical components related to the ship-lift and transfer system, Manage asset reliability/availability risks that could adversely affect the business, leads the day-to-day maintenance in coordination with the Asset Management Department’s maintenance team and recommends measures to prevent failures reoccurrence, Lead a group of Assistant mechanics and other operation teams to fulfill his task and Comply with IMI Policies &amp; Procedures and values.<br><br></li></ul> Key Accountabilities &amp; Working Relationships<br><br><strong>Key Accountabilities:<br></strong><ul><li>Assists in ensuring safe ship-lift hoist and platform operation through Control Desk/ Control Room software based and alarms etc. are addressed appropriately before proceeding further.</li><li>During the docking operation and following the instructions of the Senior Operator/ superintendent/Dock Master, ensure loads adjustment on winches and any other required ship-lift equipment operation.</li><li>Ensure preparation of winches and platform well before docking operation.</li><li>Ensure all winches, alarms, sensors, motors, MCC, control room and other ship-lift equipment are in safe operational state, tested and certified if any, and kept clean and serviceable.</li><li>Assists in Preparation of diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations, and reports to define ship-lift problems and make recommendations for improvements.</li><li>Assists in Follow up the ship-lift preventive/ predictive maintenance plans to ensure these are in full alignment with the reliability plans and targets.</li><li>Participates in the final check out of new installations. This includes factory and site acceptance testing that will ensure adherence to functional specifications.</li><li>During the docking operation and following the instructions of the Group Leader/ superintendent/ Dock Master ensure that any other required ship-lift equipment is operational and ensure it is used as per the OEMs’ recommendations. </li><li>Communicate regularly with the maintenance team to report any deficiencies and to follow up routine maintenance tasks.</li><li>Assist maintenance team in trouble shooting any deficiency and relative blueprint drawings reading.</li><li>Ensure the scope of work defined by the management is fulfilled as per company procedures and policies.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Working Relationships:<br><br></strong><strong>Internal Interactions: <br></strong><ul><li>Marine Operation Managers.</li><li>Marine Operation Ship-lift Superintendents/ dock masters.</li><li>Marine Operation Supervisors.</li><li>Marine Operation workers<br><br></li></ul><strong>External Interactions:<br></strong><ul><li>Lifting &amp; Rigging Superintendents / Supervisors.</li><li>Asset Management Superintendents / Supervisors.</li><li>M&amp;E Shop Superintendents / Supervisors.</li><li>Marine Assets Maintenance Superintendent.</li><li>Reliability Engineers.</li><li>Contractors/Suppliers.<br><br></li></ul> Who we are looking for<br><br><strong>Education:<br></strong><ul><li>B.S Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Experience:<br></strong><ul><li>0-6 years of experience in a relevant field <br><br></li></ul><strong>Professional Qualifications (Certifications &amp; Accreditations):<br></strong><ul><li>It is a plus to have a working knowledge of OSHA / NEBOSH and ISO standards and practices.</li><li>Excellent Computer Skills in MS Office<br><br></li></ul><strong>Competencies (Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities):<br></strong><ul><li>Understanding of Health and Safety practices.</li><li>Excellent team working skills.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Languages:<br></strong><ul><li>English.
