Position: Manager, Strategy & Corporate Development

Reports to: Land Mobility

Sector: Land Mobility

Job Location: Sharma, NEOM

Role Purpose:

This role is responsible for generating, leading, and managing the overall strategy for the Road Division at NEOM. This role will be critical in designing key initiatives driving the budgeting, management, operations, maintenance, and expansion of Roads within NEOM.

Key Accountabilities & Activities:

  • Support on the operating and capital budget for fiscal year 2023, as well as future looking budgets
  • Build the Road Network Strategy – the blueprint on the division’s goals, projects, and design principles; critical to LUPs and moving forward on initiatives
  • Develop the communications and external outreach plan for the roads once they are transitioned. This includes our approach to letting NEOM residents know about changes, structural issues, and other related content
  • Create stakeholder-facing O&M plan and negotiate terms of agreements with various regions for management of road networks alongside Head of Operations
  • Build the revenue management pan, with a particular focus on the tolling program for the Road Division, a significant income generator designed to help cover some of the operating expenses
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of the Road Division and other senior team members on all aspects of strategic planning and advisory
  • Lead strategic / operational projects, conducting qualitative / quantitative analyses, and making recommendations on high priority topics
  • Support the Road Division in the determination of priorities, resource requirements and sequence for execution
  • Install processes for communication and collaboration between the division’s different departments during their infancy and at steady-state operation
  • Support the delivery of various cross-functional, complex and high-priority initiatives
  • Manage consulting and third-party advisory contracts
  • Develop and track against long-term roadmaps to guide the establishment and scaling up of the Road Division
  • Undertake special assignments outside normal operations, as required by the Division
  • Support perspectives and implementation of innovation-based systems and practices to future proof the organization
  • Build executive facing presentations and analyses as required by the Division and leadership

  • Knowledge of the region and the Transportation field
  • Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Superior problem solving capabilities
  • Intrinsically driven self-starter that can work independently
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing workload demands and new challenges
  • Ability to work in international environment
  • An analytical mind with attention to detail (qualitative and quantitative)
  • A strong, clear communication skills with stakeholders at all levels and backgrounds
  • Ability to present and discuss information clearly and to different audiences

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years in strategy and or consulting related roles
  • Business undergraduate degree with a focus on strategy and or finance, or equivalent
  • Fluency in English
