The Data Protection Officer is an independent position within PwC ETIC reporting to the Chairman.<p><br></p><strong>Your impact</strong><p><br></p>As a Data Protection Officer, you’ll make an impact by:<p><br></p><ul><li>Informing and advising PwC and its coworkers who carry out processing of their obligations pursuant to GDPR</li><li>Advising on and reviewing of organizational and technical measures in place or to be implemented to further optimize PwC’s privacy compliance framework</li><li>Following-up on evolutions in privacy related regulations and best practices. Advising and assisting on how to properly align the privacy compliance framework with these evolutions</li><li>Advising and assisting in the role-out of DPO tooling and privacy compliance tooling</li><li>Monitoring compliance with the GDPR, other privacy related regulation and PwC (network) privacy policies in relation to the protection of personal data, including the assignment of responsibilities, awareness-raising and training of staff involved in processing operations, and the related audits</li><li>Assessing overall data protection governance and initiating actions for continuous improvement</li><li>Providing advice and counselling where requested as regards the data protection impact assessment and monitor its performance</li><li>Providing advice and counselling on the data processing & privacy aspect of the contracts to the legal departments</li><li>Managing the process of Data Subject Requests</li><li>Managing the process of Data Breaches</li><li>Managing the process of processing activities</li><li>Cooperating with the supervisory authority</li><li>Acting as the contact point for the supervisory authority on issues relating to processing, including prior consultation, and to consult, where appropriate, with regard to any other matter.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>About You</u></strong><p><br></p>We are looking for a manager with the following profile:<p><br></p><ul><li>A Master’s degree and at least four years of work experience.</li><li>Privacy practitioners certification such as CIPP/E, CIPP/M or equivalent.</li><li>You have an inquisitive mind and a strong risk mindset</li><li>You have a natural curiosity and a general interest in data protection & privacy and are looking to advance your skills and experience in these areas.</li><li>You have experience in data protection and privacy</li><li>You have affinity with information security ISO27001, IT architecture, technology and data laws</li><li>Project management skills.</li><li>The ability to understand complex processes and how they fit together.</li><li>You have attention to detail.</li><li>You are good at following procedures but you can also think outside the box and you enjoy helping others.</li><li>A quality-driven mindset; you’re also flexible, proactive, service-minded and open to change.</li><li>Good communication skills (presentation, negotiation, analyses, escalations)</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Life at PwC ETIC</strong><p><br></p><strong><u>Benefits</u></strong><p><br></p>Here’s a sneak peek at some of the benefits you can look forward to<p><br></p>Our culture and workplace are something we’re proud of.<p><br></p><ul><li>Flexibility: flexible working hours with Work@PwC Reimagined so you can decide your most effective working pattern</li><li>Infinite learning and growing: broad opportunities to learn every day and exciting career pathways that help you explore different disciplines or areas of expertise</li><li>Diversity: We believe that diversity makes PwC stronger.
