Senior Legal Manager
Job Description
Our client is one of the fastest growing fintech start-ups providing invoice discounting services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and they are looking to hire a Senior Legal Manager for their Riyadh office. In addition to supply chain finance, our client will soon start offering B2B Buy Now, Pay Later, which would be the first of its kind offering in the region. <p><br></p>The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with broad, generalist responsibilities, but with specialist legal subject skills in commercial law and regulatory matters pertaining to the financial sector.<p><br></p><strong>Duties And Responsibilities</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (labor law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance etc.)</li><li>Collaborate with management to devise efficient defense strategies</li><li>Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance</li><li>Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations</li><li>Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advise on possible legal issues</li><li>Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), creating relations of trust</li><li>Draft and Review agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the companys full legal rights</li><li>Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces</li><li>Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization</li><li>Conduct your work with integrity and responsibility</li><li>Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation </li><li>Able to liaise with SAMA and other agencies on licensing requirements and documentation.<br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Requirements</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>5-8 years’ experience in Corporate Law</li><li>Have worked at least 6 years in a medium to large sized companies</li><li>Proven experience as a Legal Manager in business environment</li><li>Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures</li><li>Full comprehension of the influences of the external environment of a corporation</li><li>High degree of professional ethics and integrity</li><li>Excellent communication skills (English is a MUST)</li><li>BSc degree in Law or J.D. degree</li><li>Previous experience in financial institutions or liaison with SAMA will be a big plus<br></li></ul>
