Job Description

1. JOB SUMMARY

Provides medical services to patients to diagnose and treat diseases and injuries of human internal organ systems, according to approved procedures as part of an integrated program of curative and preventive services. Conducts out-patient medical consultations in the Emergency Department by appointment and follow-up on medical problems as needed.

1. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
   1. Performs the professional duties of a Specialist in Emergency Department and adherence to the Delineation of Privileges depending on the efficiency and skills of the particular individual.
   2. Administers Executive Health Program Examinations on a regular basis.
   3. Orders diagnostic, laboratory and X-ray examinations, determining the diagnosis and prescribing applicable therapy and taking the necessary preventive medicine.
   4. Reviews journals and textbooks in order to keep current on latest techniques, procedures and therapy.
   5. Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination and other specialized medical care.
   6. To treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
   7. Immunize patients.
   8. Prescribe treatments or therapies.
   9. Prescribe medications.
   10. Collect, record, and maintain patient information such as medical history, reports and examination results. Collect medical information from patients, family members other medical professionals. Record patient medical histories.
   11. Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
   12. Participates in continuing in-service training program, physician’s conferences.
   13. To follow appropriate international guidelines, Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Regulations & Joint Commission International (JCI) Norms while treating or managing patients as well as while discharging their professional duties.
