Job Description

Our client is a construction company headquartered in Paris, France, that engages in the fields of civil engineering, building, and road trades.<p><br></p>They are seeking an <strong>accountant </strong>who will be responsible for the accounting of financial flows and the production of the mandatory accounting documents for the group’s business units.<p><br></p>Duties Expected:<p><br></p><ul><li>To check and enter payroll related entries;</li><li>Supervise customer invoicing and invoice validation in the software;</li><li>Customer Payment Recording;</li><li>Registration of expatriate living allowances.</li><li>Recording of banking operations, bank fees, loan, and bank reconciliation (5 bank accounts) </li><li>Preparation of monthly tax returns (withholding tax, income tax and VAT) ;</li><li>Monitoring and validation of petty cash;</li><li>Recording of depreciation, prepaid, provisions and accrual entries;</li><li>Closure of the financial statement and monthly accounts;</li><li>Preparation and monitoring of the intercos sheet ;</li><li>Preparation of the OHADA mapping for 2022 and monthly in 2023;<br></li></ul><p><br></p>Main Responsibilities:<p><br></p><ul><li>Manage all accounting transactions of group’s business units under his responsibility ;</li><li>Publish financial statements in time ;</li><li>Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closing ;</li><li>Reconcile all ledgers to make sure that the correct figures are reported to the management ;</li><li>Compute taxes and prepare tax returns ;</li><li>Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary;</li><li>Comply with financial policies and regulations ;<br></li></ul><p><br></p>Qualifications:<p><br></p><ul><li>Work experience as an Accountant (5 years) ;</li><li>Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the GenerallyAccepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) ;</li><li>Hands-on experience with accounting software like Accumatica, FreshBooks and QuickBooks ;</li><li>Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables </li><li>Experience with general ledger functions.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills ;</li><li>BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree ;</li><li>Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.</li><li>Fluency in French Language is an advantage<br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Location: Jafza View 18</strong>
