<strong>About The Job</strong><p><br></p>Danone MENA is looking for a highly dynamic <strong>Supply Planning Manager</strong> for its Specialized Nutrition Business in the Middle East and North Africa region to be based in <strong>Cairo, Egypt.</strong><p><br></p>The Supply Planning Manager will be responsible for driving efficiencies in supply planning and inventory management by understanding market demand and growth strategies. She/He will work closely with the supply points, regional team, local teams as well as central teams towards a common objective of providing the best service levels to our customers by ensuring availability in markets. He/She will also manage all upstream activities under his scope (new supply point, transfers…)<p><br></p><strong>About The Role</strong><p><br></p><u><strong>1- Business Context and Key Challenges</strong></u><p><br></p><ul><li> Make-to-order supply model. </li><li> Management of supply volumes in a highly constrained environment. </li><li> Frequent changes to manufacturing locations. </li><li> Frequent changes of manufacturing production plans. </li><li> Frequent upgrades and new products which required phase in – phase out. </li><li> Ensuring minimal OOS in market given the above constraints. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>2- Key Accountabilities</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Ensure short, mid and long term planning. </li><li> Ensure monthly Business Supply Meetings (BSM) with supply points. </li><li> Monthly review on production plans with Supply Points (SP). </li><li> Negotiate on production plans M+2 to manage accurate inventory for distributor’s to minimise abnormal stock fluctuations or Market Out of Stocks. </li><li> Ensure efficient inventory management of supply points and distributors consistent with the CBU targets. </li><li> Ensure efficient and accurate order management (from proposal to confirmed orders sent to supply points). </li><li> Replenishment of products using netted demand in support of inventory targets, customer service goals (using APO SNP). </li><li> Anticipate, mitigate the future through scenario planning. </li><li> Monitor orders, stock status to ensure availability to support business plans. </li><li> Manage the inventory (R&P or FG) upstream and downstream through minimal DOH and write offs. </li><li> Reporting back-orders reason codes & recovery time-lines monthly. </li><li> Identify and address supply related issues as they arise and proactively manage expectations. </li><li> Ensure proper expiries provisions in collaboration with demand planning manager. </li><li> Contribute to issuing accurate monthly rolling forecast (Sell in submission). </li><li> Ensure System validation/sanity check prior to sell in submission. </li><li> Ensure a proper phasing of our orders through RF Best Estimate. </li><li> Responsible for upstream activity management (new supply point, transfer…). </li><li> Contribute to optimisation projects (portfolio management, network optimisation, MOQs…) which will support Value creation purposes through savings. </li><li> Prepare and contribute to the Operations Review Meetings (ORMs) and Product Life Management Meetings ( PLMs). </li><li> Support on maintenance and upgrade of systems (CBI, BI) when required (testing if necessary). </li><li> Support the reporting of Operations KPIs which includes Orders vs forecast, Order Mix accuracy, Out of stock, Month on Hand, Ageing stock, Customer service Level.. </li><li> Analysis on SKU movements / performance (Eg. Slow, Fast moving). </li><li> Review & propose SKU cover policy based on SKU performance & Supply. </li><li> Close collaboration with markets on inventory returns process. </li><li> Support inventory liquidation plans with Marketing / Finance. </li><li> Draw up the network changes project plan in line with regulatory and/or market agenda. </li><li> Review and communicate risks and opportunities in the ORM 6 Box. </li><li> Contribute to the GPS process success with completed 6-box analysis for Middle East. </li><li> Review and update supply planning parameters as necessary. </li><li> Be the single point of contact for Supply points under scope. </li><li> Management of internal and external stakeholders. </li><li> Build a strong relationship with internal stakeholder (finance, supply, CS..) and external stakeholders (Supply points, 3PLs, Distributors ) to meet our common targets. </li></ul><p><br></p><u><strong>3- Key Performance Indicators </strong></u><p><br></p><ul><li> Ensure high performing accuracy on Ex-Factory deliveries. </li><li> Stock ageing (Product freshness). </li><li> Inventory Returns controls & performance measures – Reduce inventory write-offs. </li><li> Out of Stock Measure. </li><li> Customer Service Level – % of SKU on Hand. </li><li> Month on Hand, Days on Hand. </li><li> Make-to-Order CSL. </li><li> Order Mix Accuracy. </li><li> Mid Month accuracy. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>About You</strong><p><br></p>To be successful in the role you should ideally have<p><br></p><strong>Education & Professional Experience</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Bachelor Degree. </li><li> 3+ years’ experience in a multinational environment within a similar role. </li><li> Must Know APO SNP or have working on Planning system. </li><li> Excel is a must. </li><li> Knowledge of Supply Chain / Pharmaceutical / FMCG Industry. </li><li> Working experience with inventory management and supply planning in the pharmaceutical/FMCG environment. </li><li> Strong interpersonal, analytical, mathematical, and communication written /verbal skills. </li><li> Strong communication and presentation skills. </li><li> High level of self-motivation and flexibility coupled with good relational skills. </li><li> Seeks and strives for permanent improvement. </li><li> Highly pro-active and strong problem-solving skill. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Location</strong><p><br></p>Cairo, Egypt.<p><br></p><strong>Languages Required</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Fluent in English and Arabic. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Functional Competencies</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Supply chain/supply planning. </li><li> Customer partnership development. </li><li> Value creation through cross functional management. </li><li> Outstanding level of drive and the ability to juggle multiple projects effectively. </li><li> Excellent communication skills. </li><li> Understanding of order management and fulfillment process. </li><li> Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements. </li><li> High level of self-motivation and flexibility coupled with good relational skills. </li><li> Stress resistant and strong ability to deal with and perform under pressure. </li><li> APO</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Soft Skills</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Analytical skills. </li><li> Getting Things Done. </li><li> Rigor. </li><li> Customer Orientation. </li><li> Initiative. </li><li> Team Player. </li><li> Transparency. </li><li> Networking skills. </li><li> High level of self-awareness. </li><li> Must be able to finish projects and initiatives i.e., deliver results. </li><li> Sense of perspective. </li><li> Seeks and strives for permanent improvement. </li><li> Highly pro-active and strong problem-solving skill . </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Mobility</strong><p><br></p>Candidates should be open to move within the region or outside the region with Danone in 3-4 years if such an opportunity will arise which will contribute to his/her career growth.<p><br></p><strong>About Us</strong><p><br></p>Danone is a world-leading food company operating in three business divisions Fresh Dairy Products, Specialized Nutrition, and Waters.<p><br></p>Danone’s mission is Bringing health through food to as many people as possible and we want to invite people to join the movement for a healthier world.
