Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Food & Beverage operations both front and heart of house areas.
- Ensure the colleagues’ career path and development needs are prioritized and documented along with performance management and a positive work environment is established and maintained.
- Lead all the functions of Food and Beverage division, facilities and financial performance to ensure maximum departmental profit and cost efficiency is achieved.
- Analyze sales mix, food and beverage costings and pricing on regular basis.
- Participate in public relation activities or promotional activities for the Food & Beverage division.
- Ensure guest feedback and comments are adequately handled.
- Conduct such functions as interviewing, hiring, employee orientation, performance reviews, coaching, counselling and dismissal if necessary to ensure appropriate staffing and productivity reviews.
- Review and analyze market trends globally and locally in order to keep up to date in our operation.
- Lead the implementation of new F&B concepts and projects.
- Provides leadership and support for all direct reports and other colleagues in the division and maintain effective employee relations.
- To participate in the preparation of the annual budget and marketing plan, taking ownership for the F&B Division sections
- Prepares F&B annual Capex plan and management of Capex projects and expenditure
- Support the Food Safety program of the food and beverage division.
Key competencies and background
- Minimum 1 year experience as Director of Food & Beverage within luxury hotel brand / 5 star hotel; International and Middle East experience is an advantage
- Bachelorβs Degree in Hospitality Management or relevant field
- Knowledgeable of all aspects of food and beverage operations including restaurants and bar management, banqueting, room service, culinary and stewarding
- Dedicated in delivering legendary guest experience
- Driven, result oriented with good business acumen
- Strategic agility and ability to make quality decisions
- Strong experience in driving marketing and public relation activities in food and beverage
- Excellent people management skills
- Interpersonal savvy
- Displays humility, work values and integrity
