Thndr is an investment platform that aims to democratize access to investing for everyday individuals in MENA. Our app represents a seamless way to achieve financial independence and growth, without the need to have prior financial knowledge or access to huge capital.<br><br>The company was formed to primarily address irrelevant existing products and low financial literacy, we are aiming to solve this by focusing on education, offering a seamless and intuitive product, removing barriers and building an investment supermarket.<br><br>We launched in Egypt in late 2020 and currently allow our users to learn, connect &amp; invest in multiple investment products.<br><br>It’s not everyday that you solve a basic societal necessity and at the same time change cultural norms. In our short journey we’ve validated this, as illustrated by these key figures:<br><ul><li>96% of our investors are investing for the 1st time through Thndr</li><li>54% come from outside of capital cities and have previously had limited access to financial institutions</li><li>86% of new stock market investors in Egypt during 2022 came through Thndr</li><li>#1 platform in terms of local trades with 25% of EGX trades happening through Thndr<br><br></li></ul>We’re still in the very early stages of our story, but we know for a fact that we won’t stop until everyone in MENA has equal opportunity to generate and grow their wealth in an ethical manner<br><br><strong>About The Role<br><br></strong>We are looking for a skilled corporate lawyer to join Thndr Group.<br><br>Ideally, the candidate would have 2-5 years of experience, be licensed to practice law in Egypt, and proficient in both Arabic and English legal writing.<br><br>The person will be part of Thndr’s Safety function (Policy, Compliance and Legal) and will be responsible for reviewing and drafting commercial contracts, implementing legal amendments, studying legislation, providing proactive legal support to business teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and registration offices.<br><br>Your day-to-day will involve:<br><ul><li>Reviewing and drafting commercial contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.</li><li>Implementing any necessary legal amendments for the Thndr Group, such as capital increases and additions of activities, among others.</li><li>Studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on the potential impact of such changes on the company.</li><li>Working closely with business teams to understand their needs and provide proactive legal support and solutions.</li><li>Preparing studies about issues, solutions &amp; new decrees relevant to Thndr</li><li>Drafting the BOD, AGM &amp; EGM meetings of Thndr Group and preparing all the required documents to be held.</li><li>Authorizing the BOD, AGM &amp; EGM meetings with the relevant governmental body.</li><li>Ensuring the decisions of the Board of Directors meetings are implemented.</li><li>with the relevant governmental bodies &amp; registration offices.<br><br></li></ul>Some things we consider critical for this role:<br><ul><li>Licensed to practice law in Egypt with 2-5 years of experience as a corporate lawyer</li><li>Proficiency in legal writing (Arabic &amp; English), including the ability to draft and review complex legal documents accurately.</li><li>Experience in areas such as corporate law, Capital Markets Laws commercial law, contracts, employment, litigation, and regulatory compliance</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex legal matters to non-legal stakeholders</li><li>Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify legal issues and provide sound legal advice.</li><li>Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to ensure accuracy and thoroughness in document preparation and implementation.</li><li>Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.<br><br></li></ul>
