<strong>Position: </strong> <strong> Heritage Site Manager </strong><p><br></p><strong> Reports to </strong> : Heritage<p><br></p><strong> Sector: </strong> Heritage<p><br></p><strong> Job Location: </strong> Sharma, NEOM<p><br></p><strong> Role Purpose </strong><p><br></p>The Site Management Manager is responsible for driving the conservation, monitoring, and restoration operations across designated sites and clusters, following up on new immovable asset findings, overseeing monitoring of sites, and ensuring NEOM heritage assets and heritage sites are well maintained and protected.<p><br></p><strong> Key Accountabilities & Activities: </strong><p><br></p>Planning and Strategy:<p><br></p>Contribute to the development and refinement of NEOM Heritage mandate and strategy<p><br></p><ul><li> Drive the design and development of Site Management Division strategy and business plans, including related objectives and KPIs and monitor implementation</li><li> Contribute to Site Management Division annual budget planning cycle and ensure efficient budget utilization</li><li> Collaborate with the Heritage Management team to identify required areas of interaction with international partners in the area of conservation and restoration</li><li> Advise relevant stakeholders regarding issues that strategically affect NEOM Heritage</li></ul><p><br></p>Processes and Procedures:<p><br></p>Oversee the design and set up of best-in-class Site Management Division processes and procedures<p><br></p><ul><li> Oversee escalated cases of non-compliance in Site Management Division and lead resolution through ensuring the availability of processes and procedures</li><li> Oversee the effective integration of the results of site monitoring in the site management processes and procedures</li><li> Foster an environment of innovation and excellence while maintaining knowledge and awareness of leading practices, and identify recommendations for corrective measures, updates and improvements where required</li></ul><p><br></p>People Management:<p><br></p>Foster a culture of development and guidance within Site Management Division and ensure talent management practices are implemented<p><br></p><ul><li> Empower senior managers/managers to take decisions by effectively delegating authority, where applicable</li><li> Promote a high-performance working environment embracing NEOM Heritage value</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Knowledge, Skills And Experience</strong><p><br></p>Keep abreast of latest heritage conservation and restoration techniques and equipment to ensure high quality implementation<p><br></p><ul><li> Develop conservation, restoration and monitoring standards based on research (in collaboration with the Scientific Research Department and external consultants), benchmarks, and innovative techniques identified</li><li> Identify new (in collaboration with the Excavation Management Department) and existing immovable heritage assets in need of conservation and restoration</li><li> Guide the development of conservation and restoration plans targeting designated heritage clusters</li><li> Appoint needed specialists to enable immovable heritage asset maintenance</li><li> Provide authorization to carry out execution activities and monitor the work of specialists</li><li> Ensure that immovable heritage assets are well restored and/or conserved to extend assets’ lifetime and preserve NEOM heritage</li><li> Prepare regular site monitoring reports as a key site management tool</li><li> Develop and implement emergency response procedures to adhere to monitoring reports analyses. Review annual reports, ensure alignment with adopted standards and guidelines, and develop corrective actions as needed</li></ul><p><br></p>Define security standards and guidelines to ensure safety of visitors and employees, and the security of NEOM assets<p><br></p><ul><li> Identify governance of security function with NEOM Nature and accordingly align on security plan to ensure proper management of security activities across various sites and clusters</li><li> Develop and implement emergency response procedures to adhere to when facing security threats, and review security incidents reports</li><li> Oversee and evaluate safety and security operations to ensure high standard implementation</li></ul><p><br></p>Define operations and maintenance standards and guidelines for NEOM heritage sites based on research, benchmarks, and latest techniques<p><br></p><ul><li> Guide the development of corrective and preventive maintenance framework and ensure alignment with Site Management strategy</li><li> Ensure the set operation and maintenance schedules and instructions satisfy the requirements to conserve heritage sites / assets</li><li> Collaborate with the Conservation and Restoration Department for repair of immovable heritage assets</li><li> Facilitate communication between concerned Departments guaranteeing constant collaboration and updates on required asset emergency maintenance</li><li> Oversee cluster operations in alignment with urban developments and nature operations teams to ensure asset protection and optimal heritage visitor engagement</li><li> Assess periodic maintenance reports and develop operations and maintenance enhancements</li></ul><p><br></p>Develop heritage integration standards and guidelines to manage interactions and to make sure there is proper coordination between concerned Departments<p><br></p><ul><li> Follow up on integration efforts with other NEOM Departments (e.g., Urban Planning, Tourism) and relevant stakeholders for legacy cluster development</li><li> Review reports that include collected feedback and align on action plan to improve integration across NEOM heritage</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Heritage Conservation, or a related field is required </li><li> Master’s degree in Architecture, Heritage Conservation, or a related field is required </li><li> 10 to 12 years of relevant professional experience with at least 5 years of experience in a managerial position</li></ul>
