<strong>Overview / Responsibilities</strong><p><br></p>Wood is currently recruiting for a <strong>PMC Senior Electrical Engineer</strong> with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.<p><br></p><strong>Overview / Responsibilities</strong><p><br><br></p><ul><li> Ensure that all electrical engineering deliverables produced by the EPC Contractor conform to contractual requirements and to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as to Client’s policies and procedures </li><li> Comment on EPC Contractor’s design documentation and Vendor drawings </li><li> Providing advice and experience to the Client </li><li> Coordinating and resolving comments from Client to EPC Contractor </li><li> Assess progress of the EPC Electrical Engineering Discipline versus contract requirements </li><li> Support management of change processes for both technical and economic aspects </li><li> To provide direction and guidance on technical queries relating to electrical engineering as well as on any deviation request raised by EPC Contractor </li><li> To participate in all project safety and design reviews as necessary </li><li> To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule </li><li> To provide sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the discipline </li><li> To co-ordinate with other disciplines in PMC team during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up </li><li> To provide technical support to site in terms of material inspection, Factory Acceptance Testing </li><li> To assist in the coordination of all activities related to electrical system </li><li> To identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required </li><li> To attend weekly progress meetings and generate status reports for the PMC Engineering/Project Manager <br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Skills / Qualifications</strong><p><br><br></p><ul><li> Bachelor Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering </li><li> 7 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas industry </li><li> Minimum of 4 years experience in similar role with PMC </li><li> Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of electrical system design and analysis </li><li> Thorough awareness of international codes and standards </li><li> Familiar with the typical software packages that are used for electrical system design, including ETAP and AVEVA Electrical </li><li> Experience of participation in Electrical HAZOP <br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Company Overview</strong><p><br></p>Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
