As an Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating electronic systems for cutting-edge unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Your expertise in defense applications, mechatronic designs, PCB design, prototyping, embedded system programming, PX4 autopilots, Altium, and PCB soldering will be instrumental in advancing our innovative solutions.</p><p>You should prove accountable and autonomous and should be able to work in a team. An excellent understanding of robotic fundamentals and algorithms is a must.</p><p>If you would like to be part of our multi-disciplinary team, apply today by reaching out to us.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Design and develop electronic systems for UAVs, focusing on defense applications and mechatronic designs.</li><li>Create high-quality PCB designs using Altium, considering factors such as component placement, routing, and signal integrity.</li><li>Utilize your expertise in prototyping to build and test electronic circuits and systems, ensuring their functionality and reliability.</li><li>Program and configure embedded systems, including integration with PX4 autopilots, to enable autonomous flight capabilities.</li><li>Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate electronic systems into UAVs, ensuring seamless communication and functionality.</li><li>Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of electronic systems, identifying and resolving any issues or deficiencies.</li><li>Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in electronics, defense industry trends, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance in all design and development activities.</li><li>Utilize your PCB soldering skills to assemble and modify PCBs as needed</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Necessary Knowledge and Experience</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Strong expertise in complex mechanical design for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the defense industry.</li><li>Proven experience in designing and developing electronic systems, with a focus on defense applications and mechatronic designs.</li><li>Strong proficiency in PCB design using Altium or similar software.</li><li>Experience in prototyping and testing electronic circuits and systems.</li><li>Proficiency in programming embedded systems and familiarity with PX4 autopilots.</li><li>Knowledge of UAV integration principles, including electronic system integration and communication protocols.</li><li>Experience in PCB soldering and modification techniques.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.</li><li>Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams of engineers, software developers, and researchers.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills to document system designs, present technical information, and collaborate with stakeholders.</li><li>Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with the latest advancements in UAV technologies, system engineering practices, and software tools.<strong> </strong></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualification</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>At TII, we help society to overcome its biggest hurdles through a rigorous approach to scientific discovery and inquiry, using state-of-the-art facilities and collaboration with leading international institutions.
