Senior Analytics Specialist

Location: Abu Dhabi, AE

Synopsis

Reporting to and working under the guidance of Manager Operations Analytics & Reporting within Network Operations, he/she should leverage their advanced analytical skills and the wider analytical toolkit, to analyse and visualize Etihad’s enterprise data resources with a strong focus on operational data.
To help answer the highest value analytical questions posed by departments across the Operations Division and also, he/she should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, to effectively work across a multi-disciplined environment. He/she will be encouraged to develop their skills and techniques for the analysis of data and problem solving, to stay up-to-date with industry leading BI capabilities.

Accountabilities

Working with Manager Operations Analytics & Reporting to analyze requirements and identify or design the solution to a business problem/question Execute complex, ad-hoc analyses utilizing Etihad’s wider analytical toolkit proactively looking for further insights and root cause Summarize / visualize results and highlight likely insights for the business translator to develop Maintain documentation repository of solutions, to include methodology Identify opportunities for automation and improvements to approach in each analysis performed, make recommendations to wider team as to priorities for further development Develop and maintain proficiency with advanced analytic and database tools, in-house data sets, and other resources Will be encouraged to develop one or more specializations in Etihad’s key analytical disciplines and become the ‘go-to’ person among peers in that field. Act as an expert and coach to wider Operations Analytics team.

Education & Experience

Diploma required (2 years or more) Additional qualifications in analytical disciplines and techniques an advantage Strong work experience in data/business analysis or data engineering Experience in Airline data analytics is preferred Hands-on experience with Power BI dashboards experience is a must Advanced MS Excel and Office 365 (SharePoint, Power Apps etc) is a must Experience with programming languages such as but not limited: SQL, Python, R
