<p><strong><u>Reports to:</u> </strong>Senior Manager, Public Private Partnership </p><p><strong><u>Purpose:</u></strong> Support and monitor the day-to-day operations of the project’s public-private partnership activities related to Government of Egypt’s (GOE) ministries and other government institutions. He/she will manage the activities of the scholarship programs for masters and post-doc programs in Egypt and the US. In addition, assist in the development and management of proposals, Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs), and partnerships to enhance the ability of USAID Egyptian Pioneers to achieve its mission and goals. In addition, the holder of this position will work closely with the senior manager, Public Private Partnership to solicit, assess, select, and manage the performance of the various constituencies and partners. He/she must prepare activity reports and related documentation for all activities under the relevant USAID Egyptian Pioneers Award with verifiable results.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Oversee and supervise the admission and selection process, and handle related reports</li><li>Assist in the development of proposals and responses to solicitations, Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Quotations (RFQ) and requests for cooperation within the scope of the USAID Egyptian Pioneers GOE ministries and other government institutions at the forefront of Egypt’s strategic development</li><li>Possess the skills and technical capacity to implement policies and practices to advance national priorities and emerging leaders at GOE ministries and other government institutions</li><li>Support and follow up on the deliverables and timeline of the project partners, service providers and contractors, in a way that best supports and achieves award objectives</li><li>Create and manage the database and the relevant contact information of project partners and students</li><li>Monitor the delivery of all technical activities of partner agreements</li><li>Coordinate activities and procedures’ development with other offices of the University to ensure compatibility and to develop coordinated actions leading to greater overall project success</li><li>Maintains records of project indicators, success stories and project related figures and accomplishments</li><li>Ensure that implementation of all award’s partnerships, agreements, contracts are in compliance with United States Government’s (USG), federal regulations and The American University in Cairo (AUC) policies</li><li>Keep record and compile needed figures as necessary for Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) activities</li><li>Oversee the actions taken during the implementation of project activities and delivery of contracted services which include close coordination with relevant stakeholders to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, and finally assist in determining the remedial actions when problems are identified</li><li>Ensure that all required partner reports and timelines of activities are progressing as per the terms of the award</li><li>Update and constantly communicate all relevant technical and progress to senior manager, Public Private Partnership</li><li>Prepare special reports and documents that communicate information on contracted activities and services to the senior manager</li><li>Assist the senior manager in the follow-up on the delivery of the technical activities t of the project</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Requirements:</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>Minimum Education Requirements:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in any field</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Experience:</u></strong></p><ul><li>A minimum of 8-10 years of experience, including a minimum of 3 years in the education and development sector. Knowledge of admission processes, scholarship management and developing and supervising RFPs, RFQs and partner agreements is required</li><li>Previous experience in foreign-funded, USAID projects is required</li><li>Prior experience working with government and private sector in similar activities is an asset</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Skills:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Excellent command of spoken and written English and Arabic</li><li>Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal skills</li><li>Commitment to working with cross-functional teams</li><li>Excellent attention to details with excellent follow-up skills</li><li>Demonstrated time management and multi-tasking skills</li><li>Excellent communications and interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with project constituents</li><li>Results-oriented and able to work effectively within a team</li><li>Good analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Very good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Working Conditions:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Flexible working hours</li><li>Work as assigned on any AUC or grant program location</li></ul><p><br></p><p><em>This position is open until June 20, 2023</em></p><p><em><span class=”ql-cursor”> </span></em></p><p><em>Placement is based on the candidate’s experience and skills.
