Job Summary
Administer the Food and Safety and associated Regulations by conducting compliance audits, inspections, investigations and verification reviews of food businesses, documenting and reporting on these activities
Job Roles & Responsibilities
Principal Accountabilities
- Perform audit, inspection, and verification activities to ensure food businesses are complying with all facets of the Food & Safety regulations
- Provide accurate and appropriate information, advice, recommendations
- Maintain a good knowledge and understanding of food safety principles, food technology, food microbiology, food legislation, food industry issues and trends
Additional Job Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide support in fulfilling Authority objectives in accordance with the Branch work plan and ensure effective and efficient food safety services are provided
- Gather and disseminate operational information and data as required informing operational objectives
- Provision of quality technical information and advice on compliance issues
- Fulfil Authority objectives by undertaking functions and activities in an effective and efficient manner in accordance with policies and procedures
- Conduct investigations and initiate appropriate enforcement actions to a high service level, in a timely fashion, to comply with Food Authority policies and procedures

Job Knowledge
• Good knowledge of food production and processing, food safety principles, food technology, food microbiologyThorough knowledge of HACCP and quality assurance principles
• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
